Beautiful. Keesha, we don’t see them here, either. Lots of chickadees though.

wisteria will kill your trees--i like trumpet vines but they are hard to control--honey suckle and jasmine take my breath away--i love hydrangea--and lantanna
snip!
One bird we don’t see often around here but are totally stunning are the indigo buntings.
They are bright turquoise and stand out like a sore thumb.

Yes flowering vines not only add colour and beauty to your property but also help feed the birds and butterflies.bird!
Thank you Lara for clarifying that.Keesha, the green berries are the most toxic part of the Lantana plant for plants and humans but also the leaves if ingested. It's okay if they just touch.

i'm so late getting back in here....we lived in NC over 50 years....just moved to southeast Illinois. ....Terry...how did you get rid of the Wisteria?? Do tell. Pretty please?raying:
Keesha and rkunsaw...I love the "Crown Vetch" but don't have any, boo hoo. I do have blue "Vinca" and I like it :love_heart:
Twinkles...I too love Lantana BUT watch out if you have Pets. It's highly poisonous!!
I watch my dogs constantly on leashes in my front yard where my Lantana dwells in a rock garden.
bingo...I never heard of Carolina Jasmine. Maybe that's what I have?? I live in NCarolina. I don't know but my Jasmine has a strong heavenly scent
Manatee...I agree with Honeysuckle. It's hardy, pretty, and smells divine...yes yes yes
Oh thank you for that clarity. I'm now sure my jasmine is not the Carolina variety because the flowers are pure white and leaves are not "very dark".i'm so late getting back in here....we lived in NC over 50 years....just moved to southeast Illinois. ....
Carolina jasmine has a yellow flower...leaves are very dark green...drops seed tho and shows up everywhere
