I share your skepticism but not complete denial of any validity to astrology. The question you raise about twins is valid but even there, being 2 separate people, means planet alignment is not the only contributing factor.
Your ASC in Taurus counts as an Earth placement, In fact the ASC, the IC, the DC, (descendant) and the MC - Midheaven, are the most important placements in anyone's chart. You do have a very close conjunction between your Venus and Mercury. But they both oppose Saturn in Libra. You know what you like and you can communicate this but as Mercury falls in Aries you can sound demanding which may negate the benefits of this placement. Try a different way of communicating to others maybe to get a more positive reaction. Uranus and Saturn are in Conjunction in Libra. You are an action oriented sort of person with original ideas tempered by discipline which could bring success if that would interest you. Your Moon squares your Sun. Your ego and your emotional needs are not always on the same page with this placement. It's a challenge.
And of course, humble. 
You may have misread Uranus. It is in Cancer. Neptune is in Libra, but not in a conjunction.

While I can't speak for other people, I can say I do believe in astrology and I can tell when the Moon shifts into my natal placement which is in Aries. I become impatient, antsy, argumentative, confrontational, and hyper critical of others if they are doing something to irritate me. Aries mooners have two moods, ecstacy, and suicide. You have to teach yourself over time that a bad day is just a bad day, not the end of the world and by the same token you have to learn to digest the fact that winning streaks will end. But it's still a difficult placement to live with. We are saved by the fact that we are cuddly, fun and just plain irresistible.
I said yesterday would be a challenging day because of the Mars - Pluto opposition combined with the Aries moon. I was open minded about the day and hoped I could eek through without catastrophe. I took my mom to the grocery store. It's hot here. Over ninety degrees F and mom felt a little sick. When I took her home her apartment building was on fire! I kid you not. There were three fire trucks and a fourth almost blocked me in at the parking lot. Mom took her bag of groceries and got out of the car. I told her to come back to my place. It's cool with the ac on and she can't stay go into a burning building anyway.
She started yelling and screaming at me to leave and I just said to myself WTF, I have had it! So I left. She's OK, thank God, but her apartment suffered serious water damage and many of her possessions will have to be replaced. I knew it could be a really bad day. It was.

Yes, I did. You have a Mercury - Venus conjunction with a Saturn in Libra opposition. You like to speak and may feel like you're a good speaker but your communication can be misconstrued by others which defeats the purpose and complicates the issue. You could have trouble when communicating to authority figures and often withhold. Actually, I like a person who doesn't volunteer information because I think it's smart oftentimes. Giving thought to what you are going to say and how you are going to say it can help with this placement because Saturn is not comfortable in opposition to Mercury. We all have to communicate in some way in life. Abraham Lincoln had this placement also and he seemed an exceptional orator to me. It can be done. It may even make a person a more effective speaker/communicator because they have to invest more time and give more thought to what they are trying to express.
I always thought of Astrology as "that's nice"....but dismissed it categorically. Nowadays I'm more receptive, got me thinking....
