What do You Do to Get Yourself out of a "Crap" Mood?

I find this more helpful:

Deteriorata

Go placidly amid the noise and waste,
And remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
Avoid quiet and passive persons, unless you are in need of sleep.
Rotate your tires.
Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself,
And heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys.
Know what to kiss, and when.
Consider that two wrongs never make a right, but that three do.
Wherever possible, put people on hold.
Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment,
and despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer maintenance.
Remember The Pueblo.
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle, and mutilate.
Know yourself. If you need help, call the FBI.
Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you -
That lemon on your left, for instance.
Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls
Would scarcely get your feet wet.
Fall not in love therefore. It will stick to your face.
Gracefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan.
And let not the sands of time get in your lunch.
Hire people with hooks.
For a good time, call 606-4311. Ask for Ken.
Take heart in the bedeepening gloom
That your dog is finally getting enough cheese.
And reflect that whatever fortune may be your lot,
It could only be worse in Milwaukee.
You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not,
The universe is laughing behind your back.
Therefore, make peace with your god,
Whatever you perceive him to be - hairy thunderer, or cosmic muffin.
With all its hopes, dreams, promises, and urban renewal,
The world continues to deteriorate.
Give up!

Glad this thread helped you too Lara! Yes, there are great members here. ✨

Just read about your accident Lara, I can relate to what you were trying to do, and sorry you were so badly injured. Glad you're on the mend.

thank you @Butterfly, i was running playing ball with 4 dogs on an abandoned school track. i didn't know there was a man laying down on the grass field inside the track at the other end of the field so i had let all dogs off leashes. all of a sudden all 4 dogs were barking at him at the other end of the field. he sat up.

i ran fast to get all the dogs and yelling to him that they are all friendly and not to worry. he was kind and sweet. it was in the 90s and humid so my glasses got fogged up. i ran fast to get the ball from the track. Where the inside grass field meets the asphalt track, the track was about 6 inches higher than the grass which i didn't notice and tripped over the edge.

i fell flat on my face, got a black eye, abrasions on forehead nose cheek-bones and lip, bloody elbow, swollen knee, bloody thumbnail...but the worst was the broken shoulder with multiple fractures and splinters. ct scan showed my head was okay and X-rays showed my knee is okay. my glasses didn't break, not even a scratch...what?
OMG Lara...this is the first time I've seen this...oooh, ouch!!!!!, you poor lady, what a painful thing to happen and the sudden shock too, landing on your face and shoulder... 😨. You're so stoical, it must have been very sore for you the last few weeks.. but I'm very pleased to hear you're beginning to heal now...🌹💐

What do You Do to Get Yourself out of a "Crap" Mood?

I look into a mirror and tell the bloke living there, "You are one handsome bugger", but the bloke looking back at me always says, "And you are one lying bastard!"
I've stopped talking to him now......

I just drop by and visit a good friend who breeds corgis. Spending a half hour watching a batch of corgi puppies makes me laugh no matter what my mood.
ive only ever had one dog. the one i have now. we bought him at a pet shop. we were told "hes a corgi" but ive always had my doubts. floppy ears for starters. but it doesnt matter. we love him to bits. He is just thrilled to be alive! What a blessing.20190720_185036.jpg
