What do you enjoy about being a Forum member?

For once the night owls didn't have my ramblings going on in the early hours. The night owl threads do help make restlessness and insomnia just a tad more bearable.
I looked in at about ten am UK time and found a new member, name of Jasmine from Singapore. For Jasmine it was seven hours ahead of the UK, but we were both online and in communicata. I never tire of Senior Forums.

Also, I know everyone on the SF is at least 50 years old. We all have years of experience. I love that all the various posts tell a little different take on the subject. For me it fascinating to see what topics become popular.

I also like how clever people are here to make a political type response and how they approach this great taboo with a word dance. :)

I like that we get to know one another here... interactions are generally uncomplicated, nearly always civil, often sympathetic. There are very many interesting, nice people here. People share, people are often helpful.

People here are generally tolerant of diversity, varied attitudes and opinions. SF members seem to put up with my idiosyncrasies.☺️ For me, that in itself is golden, when you consider that online forums too often are stigmatized for their tendency to have many judgmental, offensive, and argumentative postings, volleyed around for petty reasons.

I'll add that I regularly enjoy some belly laughs here, and on the other hand we frequently ponder quite serious stuff together.

(As I write this I'm suspecting I might have posted on this thread before... if so, wondering how what I just wrote may be similar or different from my previous?)
