What do you put on your sandwiches? Are they simple or complex?

I like two slices of bread, miracle whip on each side of bread, and one slice bologna, sometimes with cheese and/or lettuce. My husband likes three different kids of meat, piled high, and whatever else we have around. What do you put on your sandwiches?

I start with half of a Joseph's low carb pita bread, an ounce of deli ham, turkey or Hofmann's bologna, and a slice of American cheese.

I used to be a double Hellman's mayo person but now I content myself with mustard, hot chili garlic sauce, or a tiny squirt of blue cheese or Italian salad dressing.

Sometimes I stuff in some lettuce, tomato, chopped olives, onion, hot pepper rings, etc...

A good shake of black pepper, garlic powder, or oregano helps to liven things up a little.

If it's a plain cheese or meat and cheese sandwich I like to nuke it for about 15 seconds to melt the cheese.

These sandwiches with a side of microwaved vegetables and or a fruit snack cup packed in juice are showing up more and more often on the menu these days.

I like no sugar added very cherry fruit cocktail. I’ve actually never thought of nuking the sandwich to melt the cheese, šŸ˜‚. Duh me!

I don't really like to eat sandwiches at all because of the high gluten content, but I've been eating more than my share of them this year cuz it's been brutally hot and muggy and during the food supply shortages, I began to eat sandwiches or stuffed croissant because it was all the store had.

My sandwiches are simple, but I have them with various homemade roasted veggies, a salad and fresh fruit so it's not too terribly unhealthy.

We're not much in the way of sandwich people, but onions sit at the top of the list... no onions, boring sandwich.

As for everything else... sliced sweet peppers, pizza sauce (for salami and other like sandwiches), hot peppers, sliced jalapenos, aged cheddar, Asiago, Swiss cheese, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and cucumber, and dear husband and I both love potato chips stuffed into our sandwiches when we do settle for.

I will use either one (for a half sandwich) or two slices. Depending on how hungry I am. Miracle Whip, one or two slices of my meat of choice. Then a slice of cheese (usually provolone) and a slice of roasted red pepper to top it off.

Any sandwich I have is usually loaded with whatever I can lay my hands on, but can only eat one half. Usually have the second half the next day. Not too interested in food in this uber hot weather and having lost my sense of taste after having COVID-19. I've even forgotten what a lot of foods taste like.

I like plain and simple. That's why Subway doesn't appeal to me- I'd be paying a lot and asking them to leave nearly everything off. :)

To me, an ideal sandwich would be two slices of thin white, rye, or pumpernickel bread- or a kasier roll or an egg or onion bagel; a nice amount of mayonnaise; and some type of coldcut/lunchmeat.

What ever is simple and quick, then grouch myself out for making such a poor sandwich.
Like Swiss Cheese, at $8.00 a pound, let it remain in counter.

Sandwich has to have something that crunches: lettuce, onion,

That's what I do too if I go to Subway which is extremely rare... and also at the Kebab take-away or McDonalds or KFC..... no this , no that and the other thing , until there's only one thing left.. :D

The few times I went to Subway, I got most of the veg, if not all. I like it with all the crispy fresh things.

At home, I'm too lazy to prepare more than lettuce for a ham sandwich or drain a few capers for a roast beef sandwich.

Hellman's mayo. Sometimes Dijon mustard; Maille or Grey Poupon

On one slice of bread cut in half I put some protein, either a thick slice of sweet onion or tomato, sometimes a half slice of cheese, and either dijon mustard or olive oil mayo and then I cut the bread in half again. It's not as complicated as it sounds..

I make my lunch sandwiches simple
2 pieces of mulitgrain bread with either ham or chicken slices with Hellman's lite mayo/lettuce or
peanut butter with grape jelly Easy Peasy!

Butter Bread with Deli honey ham & turkey, thin sliced sweet yellow onion, tomato, lettuce, swiss cheese, Miracle Whip on the meat side and creamy French dressing on the veggie side with Lawry's Season Salt & fine ground pepper. Add a cold crisp garlic pickle and sliced jalapenos and a couple pepperoncini peppers and baked potato chips.

Everything but the jalapeƱos, can’t do spicy.

Welllll...yesterday, I had a hot ground turkey sandwich, with Best Foods Mayonnaise, and a thick-sliced tomato. Two slices of whole grain bread.
So good, I could do it again, today. I don't "do" lunch meats, and if having cheese, it's cut off a block of Tillamook Cheddar, and melted.

Ground turkey sandwich? So do you make a patty and fry it?
