What do you take to bed with you?

Anybody else wear "bed socks " to keep your feet warm? My peripheral circulation is poor, so my Wife bought me a pair of double layer Merino wool long socks a few years ago. Now I have 3 pairs in various tartans, Davidson, Stewart, and Graham. I have a bedside clock that has a display that shines on the ceiling of the room, so I can see what time it is. JIM.

Book and dog.

Why do so many of you take water to bed?
Suspect at age 76, my gastrointestinal tract may be like many others, we creature's weakest mortal body link. So am focused on being increasingly hyper aware and careful with it. So no pizza, popcorn, and ice cream all the time. A lot of our senior peers and ancestors throughout human history have eventually died from digestive issues. One doctor said I need to prevent worsening early gastroesophageal reflux disease that is a developing chronic condition in which stomach acid repeatedly flows back up into the tube connecting the mouth and stomach, called the esophagus. A reason I prefer mid afternoon meals and then a few snacks.

That is why sometimes when I wake up in the wee hours and turn my body, I may feel soreness in that era. I dream 100% of the time I sleep and typically wake up ever hour to three. So swallowing a wee bit of water whenever I wake up instantly smooths that out by flushing that valve area with clean water that instantly feels good so I know it makes good health sense. And it also helps push any stomach contents out down into small intestines, where it is no issue. When one sleeps at night during usual periods, the digestive tract doesn't move food through as quickly or as efficiently as when awake. That is also a healthy reason to not eat in the evenings except to enjoy an occasionally binge.

Am a firm believer that a fair mix of regular vegetable meals among other choices helps my intestines remain functioning healthily the way our ancestors naturally ate.

Water, TV remote, Blu-ray remote, clock-radio remote, phone, glasses, microfiber glasses cloth, tissues, sugarless menthol cough drops, dental floss, nail clipper, Q-tips, large electric heating pad if very cold, sleep cap.

Yeah, I have a box for all that junk.
I understand. You wouldn't want to have to get up in the dark of the looking for stuff when you can have them right at hand.
Kindle, phone and Percy. Percy is my stuffed hawk. His full name is Perseverance. Childish I know but he gives me comfort.
No, not childish at all. l understand comforting.
