With the mens' ones they generally wear their jogging pants underneath or even pyjama bottoms
yes these oodies would be far too hot to wear if you have heating on...If I am cold I wear sweatpants and long sleeve tee shirts. I am always too hot so even when it is cold I am not usually freezing. But I do keep my heat on for my pet who is on the floor.
Yes I don't have the thermostat on at all... when it gets really cold I turn it on for an hour or less.. just to warm the place up... but that's all.so you don't just turn the thermostat down? you like turn the heat all the way off?
Wow, about how much would you say the % increase was year over year?Yes I don't have the thermostat on at all... when it gets really cold I turn it on for an hour or less.. just to warm the place up... but that's all.
I have Hive so I can turn it on through my phone, if I'm out and want the house warm on my return.. or my computer or Alexa... ..or even on the Hive thermostat switch...
Previous years it was times to come on for 2 hours in the morning and again at night... now it's not affordable to do that...
I have thermal curtains and I also have blinds... I draw the blinds and then pull the curtains over...I add layers. I wear sweatpants, long warm tee-shirt, and a cotton-blend zip up jacket over the tee shirt. I always keep my legs and feet covered. So I wear those fuzzy socks. Another thought - get thermal curtains for your windows. I have those and they really help. Also, insulate as much as possible for a few dollars.
My estranged O/h suffers from very cold feet, regardless of how many layers he has on the beds ..etc.. I bought him cashmere and Merino wool socks ..everything.. but he found thermal socks helped.. he'd wear a pair of thin cotton socks underneathMost of my shirts are oversized, so I just add layers.
Those toes though!!
I see ads on Facebook about magical socks, Llama, Nordic, etc and I wonder if they will solve cold toes.
yes, and that's what I would wear too usually in this 3 bedroom house in the Northern hemisphere..... several layers, ... but with this oodie... I don't have to have all those layers on.. and it means when I want to go elsewhere or get in the shower or ready or bed, I don't have to remove so many clothes..I live alone in a three bedroom house in a climate with cold winters and it seems extravagant to use up a lot of energy to keep the place warm. So I set the thermostat to 50* F and wear layers. Bottoms are insulated jeans; tops are five layers....long sleeved T Shirt, two sweatshirts, wool sweater vest and a heavy wool sweater.
shooo...you heat monger you...Somedays I have to actually wear jeans and a long sleeved shirt at home instead of my usual shorts and t-shirts.
that's annoying ! I'm fortunate that we had the house totally insulated about 10 or 15 years ago.. including the loft... and even the loft hatch door.. ..double and triple glazing on all windows and doors, and no draughts in the house at all, so that helps a lot..Wish my apt was well insulated. I don't understand why landlords cheap out on that stuff.
you could get one of these to wear on top....sweats top and pants both since I had frostbite I get cold now...
Oh, yikes. These are the ones I;ve seen men wearing...indoors
