What do you wear in winter to keep warm around the house?

It sometimes dips to the high 30s here and only rarely gets colder than that. High 30s is plenty cold for humans though.

My house has a two zone HVAC system, so we only click on the HVAC for the area in use. Heat is set at 66°, but when I leave the master bedroom in the early mornings the rest of the house is often in the low 50s until I turn on that system (also 66°).

When it's cold I wear regular weight knee socks plus either fuzzy socks with gripper bottoms or fleece lined slippers. Close fitting sweatpants or snug jeans keep my body warmth in. On top I wear a close fitting light or medium weight long sleeve cotton shirt, layered with a regular tee shirt over top plus a pullover sweatshirt or fleece lined flannel shirt.

If I'm going leaving the house, I have (fake) fur lined boots, heavy fleece lined hooded sweatshirts and other warm outerwear.

Sweatshirts and sweatpants. Long sleeve tee shirts, and fleeces and 2 cats on my lap!
We don't have extreme cold here. My thermostat is set at 75 for AC and at 72 for heat. It will switch from one to another as needed. The AC is electric, the heat is natural gas. The electric as well as natural gas have gone up quite a bit but my house is not a mansion, is relatively new and well insulated. The windows are double pane which helps as well.
I always wear very soft thick socks inside the house because our floors are tiled and cold to the touch, even in the summer. The animals love it and it is easy to keep clean as well.
I absolutely love those slankets, by the way!
I am going to buy one for my daughter, granddaughter and for myself!
@Rossana we must keep Elsa warm, too.

I have several long hoodie dresses, fleeced lined hoodies and jogger sets which are really nice and cosy. I bought them during Covid when I was spending more time at home and didn't have many comfy "indoor" clothes. I bought quite a few in a sale because they were an absolute bargain.

We keep the same temp 78 degrees we are comfortable with year round so no change in clothes.

What are those microwavable heating pads called? I used to have one with beads of liquid inside but it wasn't long-lived.
You can buy them in the pharmacy section of any store. As I recall, ~$20

Just do a quick search and you‘ll find the instructions to make one yourself. Flax seed is a common filler. I buy ones from a farm lady. She has access to a variety of grains so they’re inexpensive for her to make and she doesn’t charge much.

Oh hec, I must be the only one who doesn't like those oodies - just looking at them gives me the eebie jeebies for some reason.

I don't wear anything different to my thicker track suit bottoms, a jumper, socks and slippers. My legs feel the cold more when sitting, so I use a fleece over my legs in the evenings.

I don't hold back needing to put the heating on when I'm in the house. It's such a cold house, probably because of it's position ie loads of trees around. It needs heat. It's such a 'needy' bloody bungalow. Bah.

I've lived in a lot of houses and always had the thermostat at 15C and that was fine.
Our last very cold winter (for the UK) was in 2010 it was -17C outside. That was when I was in the house prior to this one. Although it was -17C outside, the inside was warm enough at 15C, so I didn't feel the need for heating so much. I'm SO glad I didn't live in this bungalow then. 😊

We get a Cold Weather heating allowance in the UK in the winter to help us on our way with heating bills. It's a one off every winter, doesn't meet the cost of the bill, but 'every little helps' as they say . (y)
