What exercise have you done today?

For my legs, walking or hiking two hours a day with my dogs (they are stronger than I am but don't know it.)
And for my arms, exercising with dumbbells and using my mini gym every day.
My orthopedist assured me that I am healthwise in the top 10% of guys my age (soon 88.)
PS, my grandson just got his own Beagle puppy.

@hollydolly: yes, physical activity is very important, but also 2 dozen nutritional supplement several of which are anti-oxidants that fight inflammation of the body that is the cause of so many health issues (according to the C-Reactive Protein Test, I have almost no inflammation,) healthy nutrition (i.e., no junk food,) solid sleep, a great family life, no real health issues besides being 15 pounds overweight, and what else ... OK, I admit, for some twenty years, I also have been using Retinol that makes me look younger than I am.

2 Daily bike rides with my Beagle on a leash and my Pomapoo in the basket. She runs with us a little ways but she's a princess and lets me know when she's had enough by abruptly stopping...so my hands are on alert at all times on the handbrakes. I pedal uphill at times. I also walk on the beach.

I have a crazy new exercise routine and I get paid for it! Dh and I do little side gigs where we do different types of inspections. He does lots of vehicle inspections-something he did for many, many years when we had our auto body shop so it`s second nature or him.

For many months we did home inspections (exterior only) for a local credit union (very easy, just entails taking about 8 pics of all sides of the house, the address, the street signs) but now we are getting a ton of LDS churches. I never realized how many LDS churches there are in Idaho but trust me-there are A LOT! I do all of the churches. What I do is inspect and take pics of all the landscaping.

Now each of these churches sits on about 2 or 3 acres. They have vast expanses of manicured lawns, more trees than you could ever imagine, and flower bedsand bushes galore. I have to take pics of all of it. I walk-and walk and walk and walk. I do about 8 a day. And I get paid a whopping $8.00 per inspection lol. Takes about 30-45 minutes per inspection. So I get more than my share of walking in.

Some of you may remember that I have liver cancer-something that I thought would do me in in a short time. But the treatment I had back in February did kill the tumor that I had, although the latest MRI in September did show a new tumor. So that will be treated the same as the last one when/if it gets large enough. Basically this will be my life from here on-not fun but right now I feel really good so I`m not complaining.

I spent a couple of hours raking and blowing leaves away from the house, today. If leaves had any financial value, we'd be rich. With our place, all the constant outdoor chores to be done, gives me the same amount of "exercise" as I could get at a gym, or walking a bunch.
I have said this before. Yard work is like a free gym membership with a built-in tanning bed and the shower after is the spa.
