I’m sorry, I don’t understand your question, @againstthegrain (the W2)Known for being good or bad?
W2 ?
People are always shocked when I mention one pound of salt, but they're really not that salty. (I know you know that, @Aunt Bea; I'm posting this for others.) And a very finely grained salt is used.Boil four pounds of small new potatoes in one pound of salt with water to cover until tender, drain and serve with melted butter.

Area? Lundaknake: A dreadful sausage that tastes like chalk. Disgusting. What food is your area known for?
Canada Dry? Canadian Club Soda? Bannock? We have a bit of almost everything here. If we are known for anything specific...I don't know.
Onions and carrots, there is also a huge hothouse industry which supplies lettuce, tomatoes, cukes, peppers, etc.We have a bit of almost everything here. If we are known for anything specific...I don't know.
There was a place on 5th Ave. in Paterson, called Lembo's. It was 1/2 way to Maclean Blvd. and we lived at the top of the hill. Well, they had the best pizza ever. There was an Italian store across the street from them and everything was totally authentic on their pizzas, including the crust.@Lewkat,
In your opinion, which township would one find the best pizza?
I lived in New Brunswick for a few months in '77. My girlfriend (Jersey born and bred) and I went to some place in Edison for pizza as we thought it was exceptional.
I was here in the early 80's, pizza might have been in a bar called Whiskey Jacks, still there. Or the other place was an Italian restaurant called Louies which was in an old church w seating into the bell tower, no longer around.I visited Sun Valley, ID and had pizza at some restaurant and it was so good. It was in the early 80's.
It had a wooden walkway, I seem to remember, going by it. The Italian one I do not remember. Sun Valley was a lovely town and area.I was here in the early 80's, pizza might have been in a bar called Whiskey Jacks, still there. Gee...I wish I had known at the time. There was a place on 5th Ave. in Paterson, called Lembo's. It was 1/2 way to Maclean Blvd. and we lived at the top of the hill.
