What have you bought recently?

why was the car place full ?.. do you have the same as us in that new cars come into the market twice a year..March and September ?
Well I think a lot of it was the warm and sunny day and people were just out and about. And a lot of people have received their tax overpayment refunds already too. Add in that repair costs are starting to escalate faster than already outrageous prices and suspicion of further increases coming... maybe people are thinking it might be a good time to start fresh?

No new model releases though.

Might run out to a produce store today for just a few items.

Since 2020 we've wanted to replace our family room's large L-shaped couch, but haven't found anything we like that ticks all the boxes: the right size, good price, comfortable and a reliable brand.

Around 2015 we bought a used couch (Craigslist, I think) to temporarily solve the problem and have been living with it ever since. I'm fine with it, but DH is hot to replace it so we may be going furniture shopping sometime soon. Ugh...

I love furniture shopping.. I do it so rarely... I spend months ahead of it, searching online for styles and sizes.. before going to the store

Dolly, There are some real cool modular Leather - like swivel - powered rocker recliners with Heat and vibration message + USB charger ports.
Very affordable with Amazing Prime free delivery, just put the 4 pieced to gedder at the metal slide fixtures. They set higher with
the swivel base to get in and out of. US elders rest better with recliners also than the beds we are used to sleeping in. I talk with lots
with some physical stuff going on and they love theirs.

I have to tell you firstly that I think the US does much nicer and more affordable furniture than the UK... ours are stupid prices for not good quality ..sad to say these days...

however I can't buy any more furniture now since I bought my new sofa 3 months ago.. because I don't know if I'll be moving yet..

UK from what lots of tourists tell me is expensive .

I actually did not think it was .

I have noticed that roughly in last 3 years or so tourists from UK not as happy about UK as prior years but could be due to COVID seemed to change Europe , lockdowns were brutal .
brutal is absolutely right... I think we suffered more than any other country.. tbh...and it lasted longer than anywhere else.. a good 18 months..and even now we still feel much of the efects. Britain is not a happy place for the most part currently...

I think covid shook everyone to the core ..for a while it was like the worst nightmares had come true...like we lived in a cage that we knew nothing of.. and the lid was suddenly put on us with no warning..and here we were caged and only permitted out when we were told we could and only for short periods within certain boundaries .. ... while our friends and relatives died all around us, as we weren't permitted to be with them in their dying days.. people still find it difficult to get over the shock of everyting that happened.. and what has occured since...

oops ...gone right off topic... lol

You are, easily, the happiest British person I know.

Many are suffering from Long Term Covid, it has abettor name but its still Pneumonia and a killer as it drags them out.
As far as I know no one I know had it , again maybe we did but did not know it .

I was vaccinated so again maybe had it did not know it but in theory Miami was badly hit , not saying it wasn't but I did not know anyone who had it .

Somehow I caught that Noro virus. Most likely eating at a restaurant near the Mississippi River. Lots of Water shipping
Stops here. What I heard is Ocean Ports and possibly River Boats traveled with it. It was a month of excessive nose running.
First lost great vocal ability, steady cough, no Flem and just gut Un comfortability. Last March and April were a waste.
I have had most of the Stabs, they weren't a big deal but I would get them one at a time, say per month. I only accepted
Pfizer Stabs.
