What have you bought recently?

My diffuser is fake wood. I go through phases where I use it a lot, then not at all. I think in Winter I use ot more, putting in mint and eucalyptus. I bought some cherry I had high hopes for but I far prefer even grapefruit to that.
I use wax melts currently..and love them, but thought I'd change to using the diffuser rather than messing with the wax melts, and just using essential oils.. I'm a lover of Sandalwood , and Jasmine (my fave).. and I love bitter orange..or cherry blossom

I had been using wax melts but I got tired of putting the "bowl" in the freezer to get the dregs to release. After I switched a had quite a variety of waxes left. Those ended up being used as firestarters. :ROFLMAO:

My DIL gave me one a few years ago. I love it. I use eucalyptus when stuffy.
Mine is bamboo. It has the lights which is nice. Scents are not too strong.

I used to be L'Occitaine soaps and creams years ago.. they are a luxury, but smell divine.. but eventually I thought that they don't actually justify their price...
They do smell great. I found them at Nordstrom Rack so I saved a small amount there. But you are right, pricey for what you get. The shower oil lasts forever though.

I didn't need this album. I have a perfectly good copy on both Vinyl and CD. This release was in 2016 on red Vinyl.

I didn't need it, but I got it anyway. This is a hugely important album for me. I vividly remember buying it on release in 1977. I found it, of all places, in Boots the Chemist.

Ultravox went on to achieve great chart success with the likes of Vienna, but this is three albums before that moment. The lead here is John Foxx, not Midge Ure. Foxx left, and Ultravox found their mainstream success. But for me, it was all about Foxx. He was a true master of experimental rock (check out his Metamatic album). I've no interest in Ultravox beyond the Foxx era.

Brian Eno produced this one, but it's actually a raw experience, sort of like a Roxy Music album, but more stripped back. They arrived during the punk era (as evidenced by the cover art) but included the violin, which went against the grain. This was their debut, and it's wonderful in every way.

I spent $13.20 on a book of forever stamps because the price is going up again. In case y'all are thinking stamps are too expensive, nearly 40 years ago when I lived in Germany, the cost of a stamp was $.75 in US dollars!

And I p*ssed away $3 on a Mega Millions ticket. I'll share...
in 1971 here in the UK a first class stamp was 3 pence.. today they are £1.25 EACH

I’ve never heard that term. Could you post a photo.

It reminds me of a man's "cutaway" coat.

One of my favorite science fiction authors wrote a series of comedy novels in the 1970s. Comically, those in the Diplomatic Corps were always attending formal events and wearing cutaways and slacks in lurid colors decorated with meaningless medals. Even the insectoid alien ambassadors to Earth wore a modified version of them.

Nothing exciting but a necessity.....a new vacuum cleaner.....sigh :( My house is a tri-level and I have a vacuum cleaner upstairs and one downstairs because I hate carrying one up and down the stairs. I vacuumed yesterday and got the upstairs done then went downstairs and that vacuum wasn't picking up anything. The brush roller thingy wasn't turning. I cleaned it out and tried it again. Nope. Nothing.

I never liked that sweeper anyway. It was heavy and hard to maneuver. Hubby always did the downstairs for me but since he's not coming back to do it, I struggle with that sweeper. Not any more. If he would have been here, he would have taken the roller thingy apart, which he did many times over the years, and see what's wrong with it. Not me. I took it out to the garage and it will go out for collection in the spring when they have appliance, etc. pickup. The thing is....it's only 2 years old. So, I bought a new one for downstairs. Hated to spend any money but sometimes you don't have a choice, do you?
