Same with Ebay. In the beginning it was quite good but as it got more popular it was just full of scammers.
 

That's why I thought a car boot sale might work. It will also prevent people coming to your home. I thought those were very popular over there.

used to be...not anywhere nearly as popular since the onset of online selling..... but not only that even if I wanted to, there very few if any running during winter...

Do a bulk sale. Maybe have 3 or 4 boxes and say it’s all or nothing.

If things won’t sell, charity groups will definitely take them. I give things like that to Women’s Shelters because they’re always needed and appreciated.

it's times like these that I wish I lived in the city...so much easier with all the charities for homeless , refuges for battered women, hostels etc all within walking distance... not here tho'..so it's more difficult

I have thought of trying that out with photos of a couple of old paintings where I long ago sold the originals. I'm not sure the dimensions will work because they are a little broad for their height.
 
Hot water bottle belt... which is not only useful as heat applied to lower front or back.. but like a Hand Muff it keeps hands warm also..which is what I got it for given my hands get very cold due to the arthritis in my fingers.. It can also be used as a sling to relieve shoulder or neck pain, the belt is lightweight faux fur on mine, and is attached with velcro no buckle . One word of caution.. from my research I've discovered that the standard size is a short belt.. around a Uk size 14... about 32 inches.. so if you're bigger than that search for extra long belt

All needed is it pick a site that does that....I choose a site that does canvases. Pic which size you want, upload a picture to one of their sizes and adjust photo, pay ....It gets sent as a picture of your sizing.
 
I didn't spend anything yesterday. Annnnd...today's paycheck has already been moved to savings. Well, an even amount has been moved. There was an odd $18.52 that I kept for me to go wild and crazy with. Can anything fun still be bought for less than $20?

@hollydolly that hot water bottle/belt looks interesting. Is it working the way you thought it would?

Ironically... and thankfully , it;s actually been warmer since I bought the belt bottle, so I've not used it since. Right now it's 53 degrees.. and I've got the window open right next to where I'm sitting ( it's raining ).. but I;m actually sweating.. I'm going to have to take this chunky Arran Knit sweater off, and put on a thinner one. I think I've begun to acclimatise to this cold now...
 
Ebay just announced they are laying off 1000 employees.

I think the last thing I bought were these great leggings that fit perfectly. I had to search for them but found some on Amazon.

The next thing I buy will be a Hot Chocolate or Chai Tea Latte. Leaning toward the Chai Tea Latte. 🍵

In southern California where I live wages for fast food workers goes up to $20.00 per hour on April 1, 2024. A Big Mac is projected to cost $11.00. Much local discussion about how this promotes economic inequality. A consequence of trying to give workers a living wage. Strange consequence.
