What have you bought recently?

Dio bought me a new gun!

Have you shot it yet? Do you like it? I've been thinking of buying a Mark IV 22/45 Lite just so I have a nice little 22cal. to use for teaching new shooters.
I have not shot it yet, but I hope to try it this evening when it is a bit cooler out! I'm so excited!!!

I absolutely hated my old gun. I don't know anything about them (other than point and pull the trigger), but there is something seriously wrong with my old gun. It was my Dad's before he passed away....who knows what he did to it.

I couldn't hit the side of a barn with that thing!!! (I'm a good shot with other guns.). We have a joke about my old gun: if I ever really needed to use it, I'd be better off throwing the gun at my target!!! 😅🙃😂

A good smith could fix it if there is a physical issue. Normally I wouldn't recommend that as it might get expensive, but it being your fathers, there has to be some sentimental value to it.

Nope! None at all. I have many sentimental keepsakes from my Dad....this is not one of them.

Once I get used to my new one, the old gun will be destroyed. Honestly...it's a piece of junk!! It's not worth fixing. My Dad did not take care of it.

Went to a bakeshop that everyone raves about their quality. The croissant was excellent. My plan was to buy a couple of loaves of bread. All they had left were a few of brown or white. First and last time buying that brown; I can buy cheap stuff of equal quality elsewhere. It wasn’t even noon. Maybe the good stuff sells out early. If I’m in that area early, I’ll give the place another try.

Also dropped off a couple of donations and ended up with a couple of things. A pair of pants and a Chico shirt.

I'm not a Guns & Ammo guy, but I've been hearing about some new ranges here. Is this really becoming a thing?

Dry fire ranges aren't hughly popular in my area but I live rual so most people can shoot on their own property. But there is one such range that I know of in the area, but I've never been.

Dry firing systems have been around for a number of years. The only one I ever tried was for trap shooting, it was fun but in no way mimicked real shooting, in my opinion.

Groceries. In addition to other items, my son picked up 7 packages of Voortman sugar free cookies from Walmart. He got chocolate chip and pecan sandies. They aren't readily available at Shoprite. I just ordered more litter disposal bags and Nexcare waterproof bandaids from Amazon. The Nexcare are cheaper than the Bandaid brand and got very good reviews.

I have been wondering if almost everything we buy now is environmentally messed up somehow. I can look up where a product is made, find the company, and find environmental lawsuits against them. Not always...but those are rare. With micro pollution now being detected and reported on it feels like the Corporations have created an environment that is not very friendly.

After the phone company restored my dial tone ( they had to place a cable between two telephone poles on my land,, one of my phones stopped working. It was a very old At& T with two separate phone extensions- and would save me time trying to answer one land line, in the back of my house, because I have a foot condition. (sure cant jog anymore)

I was surprised at the price and great reviews of the new phone I bought- to be delivered today.

It is a lot easier to read then my older phone, and announces whose calling, and I can't wait until it gets here.

I also bought 6 pollen filters for my heater-and I still have to use heater in AMs when it is cold up here and they delivered that the day after I ordered it-Amazon has a bog fairly new outlet store about 25 miles from me.

I buy Prime every year because I need to depend on amazon a lot.

your new phones are very similar to my Cordless dect landline handsets...

I have an older model of a similar Motorola product. Works great, and it can even be paired to my cell phone via Bluetooth. That allows the "home phone" handsets to answer my cell phone voice calls as well. Might be great if people didn't insist on silly texting so much.

DECT uses the spread spectrum frequency hopping technology behind HomeRF, which is what we used to have before HomeRF was pushed out of the market by far less secure, less interoperable, non-shared WiFi that became ubiquitous later on. I still have HomeRF adapters and even gateways around, many of them still in boxes. I suspect they'll go for a premium on eBay once I get around to that. The paranoid are actively interested in the old networking devices.
