What have you bought recently?

Today Deja's cat food order came in from Chewy. I'm trying her on Fancy Feast gravy lovers chicken because I'd rather be opening cans which can be recycled than those little plastic containers. Fancy Feast Petites fish meals are her favorites but their containers are not recyclable here. She'll still get the Petites but I hope to find canned food she'll like as much and wean her off those. I also got Friskies dry treats because the first ingredient is fish, unlike Temptations where the first ingredient is a chicken by product.

I also ordered a case of Coffee Mate sugar free hazelnut powdered creamer, more Nexcare waterproof bandages because they are included in Amazon's Prime deals and these washcloths (linked below), also Prime Day deals. I have plenty of washcloths but wanted more in this color with the textured surface.
I really like using the textured washcloths I have already.

I live in a small town where the shopping mainly consists of WalMart and Dollar General. The nearest larger cities (though still not large) are an hour away. And even there My shopping experience leaves something to be desired. So, little by little, I have begun to do almost all of my shopping, except for groceries, on Amazon. I can shop from my recliner, and it comes to my door for free. But now my living room is full of boxes.

I bought a bunch of random items because it is Amazon Prime Day and they were on sale (cat toys, hair thinning scissors, slippers, etc). And I also ordered stretchy belts because I've been losing a little weight being on Weight Watchers (yay! but will probably re-gain when I go on a cruise next month).

Heads up @StarSong! Our bank accounts are fat today. The eagle🦅 did his duty during the night :poop:.

Y'all! Sit up and take notice! I didn't succumb to the siren song of Prime Day and wasn't even tempted to browse because, yanno, there's really nothing I need or want and really no room in The Hovel for anything more.
Ooh, thanks for the happy bit of morning news.

I did succumb to Prime Day, but had put off some purchases in anticipation of it. Bought DH & me the newest size carry on luggage - Walmart also cut their prices, and they had a better deal than AZ, so WM got my money.

Amazon was the somewhat bigger winner though - I bought an MP3 player for DGS to plug into his portable stereo. ($10 off from its usual $39.99) Also some hanging solar lamps for DDIL's August B-day (two cost me $42 instead of $60). Pretty sure I got the idea from you a couple of months ago, GG. They've been in my "Save for later" cart for quite a while as I hoped for a sale before her B-day.

Also bought 4 sets of Amazon's filter replacement for Brita Water filter. Will give each of my kids a set as part of their Christmas gift (long story), and keep one for myself. Just a few dollars off per set of six, but I was going to buy them anyway so was happy to get a better deal.

Yesterday I didn’t need anything at Amazon. Shouldn’t have looked today because I found things to tempt me. Replenished my supply of Whoosh for cleaning screens. A portable steamer for clothes; I hate ironing linens. Another Travelon purse in the my favourite style; this time in a bright colour. Will take another look later.

So exciting, Amazon got me to buy two toilet seats, a new mat for under the dog's bowls, couple of baking mats, couple of pairs of leggings. I normally don't wear leggings but need some to start physical therapy next week.
Toilet seats and mat for under the dog bowls. Geez. You really went hog wild...jussayin'

@Jules I love, love, love that jacket!
Me, too, and what a deal!

I was sorely tempted by Prime sale because they are selling a 10th genration 64gb Ipad for £300.... a far cry from my Ipad Air 2 which has stopped taking updates now... but still £300.... and then I thought no..it's already 2 years old ( 2022)... so not sure it's really a good deal...

Got an extending stiff bristle brush. I ordered it before I went away and it arrived today. I want to use it to clean the front Porch roof which is white concrete, but it's got filthy due to all the rain we've had this month... I could use the power washer but it's such a faff to get out just for that job...

Same here: small town with little availability. I use Amazon a lot, including some grocery items I can't find locally (e.g., whole peppercorns).

Bought zero yesterday. All damage I needed to do on Prime Day was accomplished the day before. Of course, TODAY my coffee frother went on the fritz. I bought the extended warranty on it after learning the hard way that these gizmos have a shorter-than-expected lifespan, but it irks me that the discount deals disappeared at midnight. Also that this one quit after less than two months.

Since frothing my oat/soy/almond milk concoction is a must for me, I'll pull out the RV's frother until a new one arrives and will order a different brand today.

Not something I wanted to buy, but time moves on.
Lost another heating element on our water heater, (electric, there are two, upper and lower).
It's served it's time, so got a new one.
I'll be plumbing it in this weekend.

Will be putting in a new expansion tank and adding a Watts recirculating pump to the system so the back
bathroom has instant hot water to the faucets and shower. No more waiting for the hot water to arrive.
We've talked about doing this for a while and figured now is the time.

Replacing some old piping, so out comes the torch and I get to do some soldering.
(now that I've put everyone to sleep with my post, I'll just move on)
