What have you bought recently?

I had to spend money at the garden centers today because I needed some perennials. Needed. The good news is that I spent less than $40, and that included paying for DD's plants, too.

The chair that I ordered even though I didn't need it? It's gonna be delivered tomorrow. Woohoo and stuff.

I’m in Savannah, spending the night after a dermatologist visit today. Wow, the prices of *everything* is sky-high! I ate out (bowl of soup and some hummus with flat bread)= 25.00 with tip….

Looked at shoes in one of the department stores in the mall…. Not that they had what I wanted but every pair I picked up was 80.00 or more! 😳

So I made one last stop at Barnes Noble before returning to the motel and picked up the magazine to which I usually treat myself when in the area :

Last time I bought it, it was 5-6 dollars…. I paid $10.00 today 😖. I guess that’s the last issue I’m buying

Ohhh....ouch...London prices in Savannah... for food... 😖

Yesterday was pricy. $90 for a haircut. Found a pair of Skecher’s flip flops for $45. Even though it’s the end of the season, I have to buy when I find my size, a 5 (35EU).

Today I dropped some donations at a thrift store. Bought a couple of mason jars and a basic white shirt that still had the fold wrinkles.

I have just bought a light box. I have seen them demonstrated on the craft channels but never thought I would have a need for such a thing. Then I saw a design which I thought would be perfect for an embroidery and so I bought a light box so I could trace it.

We shall be off to a 1930's inspired dance in London, next month. I have just bought a couple of tickets for a function described as:
"A homage to The Swing Era." I love the splurge, it reads:

"Doors open at 7:00 pm and frolics continue until carriages at 2:00 am. Entertainment will come from Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, Ginger Fizz disc jockey and the Silver Jubilee Hot Jazz Serenaders."

where's that being held then ?:)

A new big boy umbrella for my grandson starting first grade! His last umbrella was Paw Patrol, but he outgrew that franchise! It was important for me to purchase this, especially after The Hat Fiasco of last year, where other grandma jumped in ahead of me to buy winter hat, although that's MY Job!

I dropped $141 at Costco Business Center yesterday. I'm hooked on plain seltzer and they had it on sale for $1.20 off per case, dropping their price to 20¢ per can (before tax and can deposit). Aldi's prices have been creeping up - they're now at 27¢ per can for a 12 pack, so Kirkland it will be. Bought 3 cases of 35. That should hold me for a couple of months!

All else was food with the exception of 75 KN95 masks for $9.99. With the current Covid spike of yet another variant that's deemed very contagious, and considering my apparent hyper-susceptibility to Covid, I'm masking up in all public places right now.

I ordered a new inversion table through Amazon on the 30th. The website said I could expect delivery in 2 or 3 days.

It hasn't even shipped yet. Like, no movement whatsoever. I'll give it another couple days, and if it's still not in shipped status, I'm gonna cancel and order one from a different company.

My legs get super tingly every time I sit down, and they go numb if I don't get up and walk around for a while, so I'm thinking an inversion table will help. My old one helped with that problem a lot, but I gave it away after I moved into a small apartment several years ago.

I have plenty of room for one now. Hoping for an update saying it's shipped.

Went to my two produce stores early and spent a grand total of $32 there plus another $31 at Aldi. My fridges and freezers are full and fresh produce is all stocked up.

The produce store quality and prices are excellent - which is why I go to those stores. I buy a little produce at Aldi and Costco, but they're primarily my sources for general groceries.

I bought a t-shirt in Mykonos for $44. And a travel mug in Crete for $33. Prices seemed astonishingly high on the Greek islands, but I guess maybe they have to charge a lot during tourist season in order to have money whatever time of year no one goes.
But I got a cup of coffee and a dish of ice cream in Istanbul for only $3.06.

My chair got here at 3:15 and was assembled and being sat in by 4:30. Maggiecat has decided it's suitable. At first she didn't want to try it so I picked her up and put her on the seat. She's still there.

I didn't spend any money today except to go online and pay for the chair. Does that count?
photo please... of the chair...
