My brother was here for five days - he lives ten hours further north.
That means I bought:
A new garage door opener to replace the two year old POS that stopped working.. Bought a Genie Door this time so it should last longer than two years.
New wiring, connectors, and snaps to fix the wires some SOB mouse or chipmunk chewed on the F-150. Fixing that took him an entire day. Had I taken the truck to the dealership, it would still be sitting there for who knows how long, provided they could even figure out why the engine was throwing codes.
Injector gunk and motor gunk to run through the farm tractor and my Saturn.
My brother is genius, but he still insists that, many years ago, he let off the gas when we lined up his Turisimo against my Tempo and I beat him. He claims the Turisimo was drifting toward me so he let off the gas.

He had to drive bottom-to-top through Kentucky, then through Cincinnati, the metro from h-e-l-l when it comes to driving through it.. He left at 3:00 AM, hoping the roads were clean and everyone who worked was still asleep. He made it home by 1:00 PM, so the interstates were clear.
On the plus side my neighbor made a rum cake for my brother and yowza, two pieces of that would have got us each a DUI

. I managed to send half of it home for my SIL, but it was tough letting go of that container
