What have you bought recently?

Finally bought an air compressor so I don't have to go to the gas station when tires are low from cold weather. (Their machine is usually out of order.) The one I got works off car power or plugs into the wall outlet, either one.

same here... our garages are few and far between here who have air, ..I have to drive 10 miles to the nearest one.. and that's often not working...

Another grey, foggy day.

I was going out today but, I decided to leave it until Saturday and take the rest of the week off.

My plan for today is to pick up my parcel when it arrives at the collection point, get a few bits from the supermarket and then spend the rest of the afternoon with my sewing machine as I have some alterations to do. Sounds dull, I know but, I quite like the occasional dull day :);)

Ooops! Just realised I posted this in the wrong thread :ROFLMAO: But, I did buy some of my favourite Neal's Yard bath/shower stuff and it was on offer :)

When I was on my feet 15 hours a day, I would buy Dansko's clogs. It has been 12 years since I bought the same shoe. Found some in a new, botanical pattern. First time I wore these new ones to the grocery store, I got two compliments on the shoes, one from a man and one from a woman within one hour....good investment because I really like the pattern.

DH bought one years ago, we use it for everything: pool rafts for the bigger grands, stroller tires for the littler ones, vehicle tires, and so much more. Very useful.

I had a coupon for a $10 haircut at Great Clips, which is nice because I always give my fave haircutter✂️$20, and that includes the tip on a usual $15 cut. When there's a coupon, she gets a bigger tip.

So I'm the same $20 lighter in the pocketbook as I would be without the coupon, but haircutter is ahead this time by an extra $5.

One wants to make sure she stays happy;)

Today I got a new set of Stainless steel cutlery with a 50 year guarantee so it'll still be in the drawer when I close my eyes for the last time...😄

Problem was once I'd washed and dried them , and took all the old cutlery out of the cutlery drawers.. I realised the knives are too long for the drawer... so that's a bit of a nuisance

Anyway my old cutlery has been wrapped up now and in the charity donation bag...

I frittered away $41 and change from my healthy food card today so didn't spend real money. However, in a last-ditch effort to get rich quick, I spent $3 on a mega millions ticket for tomorrow night's drawing.

Got some thin good t-shirts with vneck for SO. Matching lounge fleece pants with silly patterns are enroute. I need and I mean as in have none - shoes! Plenty of summer shoes but only two sneakers and that is it. I hate shopping! No, I abhor shopping. Boots will be a one stop shop at Tecovas. Store has a well stocked bar and floor servers and sales people are trained. I will get him to try on a pair. His everyday office ones do not come in "pretty". Staff will be in on it:)
DSW for shoes and Langston's, a local Western store with great staff, for me.

V8 and paper towels for C$45. It sounds horrid, but isn’t really. 6 x$4 for the V8 and the monster size package of paper towels for ~$20. Throw in the taxes and that’s where my money goes. I doubt I‘ll be buying paper towels for another year. V8 definitely as my husband drinks it every day.

I had a peep at the last of sale offers and just ordered some trainer socks, a cotton top and a pair of light trousers for the summer. All from a brand I really like and all vastly reduced. I know summer is a while away yet but, this morning the sun is shining and the sky is blue so, I'm taking it as a sign that I should prepare for some hot weather. :)
