What have you bought recently?

I like it. That looks portable.

I bought one of these. I was tired of doing the "I've fallen and I can't get up!" thing...

They retail for about $400 but I got one at an estate sale for $100.

Off to the shops today and Mrs L is determined to buy a lightweight vacuum cleaner as she finds the 'Henry' cleaner too heavy and impractical for doing the stairs. I've got to but a new mobile phone as the 3G network is being turned off next month. Tesco have a couple of basic Nokia phones and I might get one of those. They're cheap and come with 10 pounds credit. That will last me out as I've only ever topped up my phone once in 18 years.

yes the only thing is with my purchase it's only really if you have full use of all your limbs.. yours is superb for people who are actually disabled which I'm not thankfully..

That is just too way kool. I didnt even know they made those. I need to bookmark that for the future. Im good now but you never know about later.

I wish I had had one of those for the husband. We had the fire dept out at least once a week to pick him up off the floor after he went down.

Well, I was checking my calendar and noticed that the last day to return the laptops I bought is in two weeks and I hadn't even opened one of them. I had set up my son's for the most part, but the other one was still sitting in the living room. So last night I started setting mine up like I had done his. It occurred to me what an absolute disaster Windows 11 is. I have had so many people tell me how great it is, and I now disagree with them 100%.

So as I was looking around for tips and tricks to try and make it more manageable I found a page on Micro$oft's website that tells you how to downgrade from Win 11 to Win 10 on brand new laptop, and since I only did a couple of things last night and I could very easily just start over, I think I might give that a try. Before I do though, I'm going to call both Costco and Acer's tech support and make sure that doing that will not void the warranty.

I sure hope I can do it. If not, I found out how to make Windows 11 look and feel almost like Windows 10. (y)

I have a MAC , have had it for years, it was like a breath of fresh air going from Windows to a Mac.. but a few months ago I bought a cheapish laptop and of course it has windows.. and worse..Win 11... I just can't cope with it, so I barely touch it.. 😩

That's me, right there. Once I'm down there, I'm stuck. The only time I could get up before was if my wheelchair was right next to me, and my pain level was moderately low, such as it is today, 11 days after an Occipital Nerve Block. I put the brakes on, and crawl up into the seat. But if I am in excruciating pain, that doesn't work.

I got a new Mac Air- my old one finally was having battery issues (after 10 years). Really used that one. Guess it was time, huh!

I can kinda secondhand commiserate with being stuck. His legs would give out and he would slide down. The husband was a tall guy. Close to 400#. With no strength in his arms, a bad back, and bum legs. So he was stuck. At first he would insist I help him. I did at first then I realized if I sprain a fetlock we are both SOL. He was not happy but I called the squad anyways. Listen buddy Im old too ya know. Its a PITA getting old. Probably more so when your wife is older than you and still skipping around. :D

Did she get one Capt ?... I changed to a SharK just recently beccause my cannister Miele is just to heavy for me to do the stairs now... The shrak s very light in comparison and with no cord it makes it a breeze to do the stairs...

Did a Costco run. The money ran right out of my wallet. Just replacing printer inks started the total off at over $100. It doesn’t take long.

Adding: Before going there, DH checked out other places for printer inks. The Costco price was a bargain.

Yes, she got a 'Bush' bagless cleaner which seems to fit the bill. The Henry is a great cleaner, but it is too heavy to haul around. We've also got a 'Shark' steam mop which is great for cleaning the vinyl floors.

As we have some trips planned for the Spring/early Summer I decided to check out the final reductions on a brand that I liked and I ordered a couple of tops which I was tempted to buy when they were full price! Glad I waited :)

I mainly use the microwave for steaming so I bought a couple of bigger bowls for steaming fish, noodles and vegetables.

Went to my favorite dented can guy. He has a store I have frequented for about 10 years where he sells goods (mostly food) that the packaging is damaged or is dated. Bought about 10 lbs of various coffees. Also hit all my favorite construction thrift stores…project house here I come…
