What have you bought recently?

where do you buy your chicken ?... chicken here isn't cheap unless it's bought in Aldi.. and honestly Aldi is not my first chhoice for fresh meat....

I get mine from Costco... a tray of 20 drumsticks costs £5.00
I get mine at a small independent grocer in the next town. When a local small chain broke up, this store was taken over by the former butcher and another long-time employee and local investors. 88¢/pound in trays of about 10 so roughly 4 pound trays.

Bought myself 8' of corrugated black drainpipe to finish drainage for gutter downspout.

Then I bought myself dinner of two corn and green chili tamales, 2 sopapillas and two pom margaritas.

Cheers to another weekend!

Yesterday was seniors’ day at the drug store. I‘ve been avoiding stores so I avoid spending. I really needed more moisturizer so picked up an end-of-the-season gift box of a brand I like. Reg. $52, worth $88. I was happy to get the little freebies and pay 20% less. Also bought a lipstick. Looked at the receipt when I was in the car and found the moisturizer was half price. Yay. Good thing I didn’t know in the store or I would have bought more things. This is why I don’t go to stores. I know a bargain when I see one.

I bought this footstool to match my new sofa...

Cheese bags. Are you wondering what they are. I was too. Found them in a thrift store for $2. Will report back to say if they really help store cheese.

Yesterday Amazon ordered for $35 a waterproof shell hood to fit over my ski parka helmet plus for $40, a new pair of Levi 505 blue jeans at 30x30 size. For street use, I wear narrower leg Levi 511's while use the looser 505's for hiking or out in the field doing photography.

Just Amazon bought an expensive GoPro Hero 11 POV video action camera plus 3 spare batteries and 3-slot charger for $336 with tax etc. Have had for 4 years now, a GoPro Hero 8 and will still be using it for some purposes.

it's probably to do with the tone of your skin...
How come I didn't think of that? And if that's the reason, then my mother was wrong, wrong, wrong. Just before the school year started when I was starting 7th grade, she went with me to buy a new outfit for the first day of school. I found a blue sweater that I really wanted. She told me that blue made me look "jaundiced." That was the end of anything blue, ever, for anything. It's a silly thing, I know, but it's followed me around all my life. Go figure🤷‍♀️

Anyway, if the stuff comes today, it's blue hair again.

After an update early last month, my phone's battery suddenly stopped holding a charge for anywhere near as long as before.

Turns out Google (my cell service provider) knew of this and proactively offered me a new battery, $50 check, or $100 off a new Pixel phone. Since my current Pixel 4a is 4 years old, I opted to buy a new phone.

Including tax and all discounts, the new Pixel 8a comes in at $218. Also ordered a $25 Amazon phone wallet to fit it.

After doing a good bit of research on the subject I called Costco and Acer and they both advised against trying to roll back my new Windows 11 laptop to Windows 10. Not because it would void the warranty or anything like that. They just said they wouldn't advise it. The concept is iffy at best, and doing a factory reset doesn't always work right.

So I started trying to set it up the same way I did my sons, which basically works fine. I tried to run some of the misc. software I had copied to a USB drive and and I kept getting error messages saying Windows can't find that file at the specified location. I disconnected the drive and plugged it into this laptop, and the files were all there, the drive passed all tests, etc.

I plugged it back into the other one and it did the same thing again. So once again I called Costco tech support and told them about it. They said Windows 11 was corrupt. So the next day, with just two days left before I could no longer return it I took it back. The guy at Costco tech support said he believed that the corrupt Windows killed my Seagate 8Tb USB drive. So I returned that too.

Edit: I hate typos...

My computer would drive you into an asylum. I have a Mac desktop which works very well.. except this last 6 months or so, my keyboard has a life of it's own so I often write gobbledygook.. but what's worse is my Computer has stopped spell checking...:eek:

It doesn't matter what I've done to try and correct one or both.. it refuses to be corrected.. it's actually driving me nuts!..people here are so kind when it comes to my unreadable typos...

Look how tiny the 128gb flash drive is that arrived today... this is compared to a pen...

Can you even imagine being told a few years ago that you could hold an immense amount of information on this thing the size of a pencil sharpener...

I was a bad gurl today because I bought some wonderful boucle yarn. I also bought a couple smalls hings for the kitchen. I spent 70$ on the yarn and it was on sale for fifty persent off! The colors are amazing and I am going to make a ruana with it.
