What have you bought recently?

Coffee. One store had a good price for my usual brand but they don’t carry the type I like. All the stores do price matching, though they have limits. Went to one store on Monday, picked up two. Next store on Tuesday for 4 and the third for another 4. Saved about $40. Sale ends today.

At Walmart I got 4 bags of frozen vegetables, milk, some little brownie bits but forgot the bleach.

I got this for my soups. Having a hard time with my right hand/wrist so chopping is laborious and risky. This should serve well for most veggies. (OxO)

I have a different brand and love it. I found that using smaller pieces makes a difference, especially for hard things like carrots. When I have it out, I prep several items to store. Although it’s a bit of a pain to wash up, I find it worth it.

Good to know, and not a moment too soon!
I dropped $240 at Costco yesterday:
$29 on gas (I was only down half a tank, but filled it since I was there anyway.)
$86 on miscellaneous non-foods
$125 on food - mostly frozen and non-perishable. .

People are talking about the price of eggs, and I get that, but wow has coffee gone up! Kirkland Decaf 3 lbs that cost $10.99 in 2020-ish is now $17.89.

Climate change is the root of the problem. So many coffee plantations are dealing with droughts or floods, and this is only likely to worsen over time.

p.s. I didn't need any, but noticed Costco was completely sold out of eggs (this was about an hour after opening time, so unlikely they had many - if any - to start the day.
I only just discovered recently that Kirkland coffee is made by Starbucks

I've been seeing this contraption around a lot lately. Very tempting, but I wonder how much strength you need to push down on that handle, repeatedly???
But, I really don't mind all the chopping by hand either. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes I have a hard time pushing down the handle if the piece is too large. I slammed it really hard with my left hand once and my watch asked if I had a hard fall.

OXO is a reliably good brand. It's so nice to find gadgets that make life a little easier. 🤗

I p*ssed away about $85 on ordinary stuff on our outing this morning, including $14 to send a UPS package to DS, and another $3 on a mega millions ticket. I bought coffee that I don't need yet because heaven only knows what the price will be in the coming weeks.

As for the mega millions ticket, where there's life, there's hope. Right? Stand by. I'll report my winnings tomorrow morning.

Lunch out with GFs yesterday. We always split the bill three ways. $26 each. I had a delicious Thai-style salad. We had two hours of delightful visiting on a patio. There was a warm breeze blowing and plenty of interesting people watching as folks wandered nearby. Would have been worth it at twice the price. ❤️
