What have you bought recently?

We buy online whenever possible...do shop at the grocery, though. And the local Farmer's Market...just threw out those probably Mexican tasteless cucumbers. Hope to pick up some local grown ones tomorrow.

As far as "deals" go...bought 3 beautiful area rugs online for our main hallway - "such a deal. I should cover my own ears so even I don't hear it"...lol.

So far the biggest online purchase we've made is 2 powered leather theater chairs - hey, was really nervous about doing this, but when they came with the "white glove" setup, it was a joy to behold. "Scary perfect!"

Does ordering count? If it does, then I've just added a Snickers bar to my grocery order. I woke up last night craving a Snickers bar and I still am. I had placed an order earlier for my groceries and scheduled them to be delivered Sunday. I added the Snickers bar to that order. I wouldn't reschedule my groceries to be delivered before Sunday because then I wouldn't or shouldn't have my ice cream today and several days after. I didn't want to do without my ice cream covered in chocolate! :)
 
Just bought a couple of bags of groceries from M&S ... they say we're going to get rain next week so I've made sure I'm stocked up...

Paid to have my nails done today as well...

Couple of minor adjustments to my outflow. Stopped the ongoing monthly $9 charge for my hearing aid management kit, never rec'd April's mailing, called support canceled contract. Decided to cancel my monthly $9 subscription to STARTZ, plays mostly movies. Seen what I wanted, poor selection left. Total saved $18 monthly.

Ordered a case (24) of Amber glass 12 oz. bottles.
Need a total of about 50 bottles per 5 gallon batch.
Also, 120 bottling caps. (never have enough)

No matter how often I tell my friends to 'Please return the empty bottles when they finish' with the Home Brews I give them, few get returned.

Planning to try a 'Clone' of Anchor Steam Lager since they went out of business.
 
I just bought today, an expandable petunia trellis. It was on HSN. I saw it last night while channel surfing and thought ''wow I can really use that." I have a bare spot in the middle of my house in the front yard. The plant I bought to grow there up to 4 ft isn't growing. So, this will fill in the space.

They're faux flowers and leaves.

Hoping your daughter’s dog is doing better. We have large vet bills yet my sister in Chicago doesn’t. It’s sad because as the economy gets bad people will surrender pets. In order to have 2 dogs I have to sacrifice in many areas.

Get some labels printed up that say “please return to FeelsLikeFar”. A friend did this for her books. It worked.

yes she is thankfully.. altho' she's just had her 15th birthday... so to expect her to last much longer might be expecting a little much... but my daughter spares no expense when it comes to her dogs.. and like you she has to sacrifice some things at times... but fortunately daughter is in a position to be able to afford to care for animals as they should ... I hope that always contiinues

This is the first time she's only had one dog.. she started with 2 Labradoodles, then a 3rd came along... then her ex partner who was a dog trainer, had a Doberman, a Bull terrier.. a Staffy.. and a Belgian Malinois... so their Vet bills were enormous... then she had her Boarding kennels, and had vet bills for many more,..

She says she has a surprise for me at her house when she and I go out for our joint Birthday jaunt later this week ..and I have a feeling she has another dog,,,,(y)

Can you use used bottles?
 
I just signed up for Walmart plus for $49..now I can have my groceries and pharmacy prescriptions delivered even though I live 15 miles from Walmart, after one year it will be $98, so I'll have a year to see how it goes.
 
Picked up my two camping cots, tossed recliner and took three days to get cushioned enough for body to accept.

Now have to get some memory foam. New headlight assemblies and new (cheap) phone (unlocked $99) finally a lung exercise item.

Hope the last one helps my lungs.

Again all's changed, STARTZ is becoming desperate, 1st $2.99 per for 3 months, DONE, 2nd $17.99 for 6 months = $3.00 per, fell for it. I guess I'm locked in until Oct '25.:rolleyes: Then after talking with support for my hearing aid kits I decided to reup @ $9 per, does save $3 per, save more if i went 'cold turkey'. Then in 1 year I'll drop the kit (should be able to use the extra ones for 6 months more), How does the saying go, 'A fool and his money are soon separated'. Yep that's me. Fell again. Back to square one, no savings. Oh well what's $18 a month? Must have a big 'S' on my forehead, Then again I get to talk to the nice lady at the hearing aid place. I think I'll let this go.
