I spent $1.31 including tax at Dollar Tree. I'm such a spendthrift!

Then spent another $5.22 including tax for little individual servings of tuna and crackers and chicken and crackers for the homeless man who sleeps in the shade around the corner of the store. So there went $6.43 of my $20 windfall from Kaiser.

DD spent some $ for a few snacks, individual servings of fruit packed in syrup, a protein drink and two cold drinks to put in the sack for the homeless man. He was sleeping so I just left his food/drinks for him.

She bought some Hallowe'en decorations and six more pair of readers because the six pair she had were no longer strong enough. Her total including the stuff for the homeless man? $52!!!

Am about to buy more cameras (a couple are replacements for some that stopped working after a power outage). What chaps my hide is that I now need to pay a monthly subscription to review videos. The cameras are inexpensive but my total bill for cloud service will be $216/year.

This is like inkjet printers where they practically give you the printer then charge a fortune for the ink.

Back in the 1960s, I heard my uncle say, "I've got $1 in my pocket and ten people trying get me to part with it." Nowadays they not only want that dollar, they want to set it up so they get another one every month.

Congrats on the new car! Did you get an automatic? Thinking about how beat up you are right now an automatic would be easier for you to get back on the road as you recover. I know how Europeans love manual transmissions so just curious.

No.... I don't like automatics.. so I bought a manual.... ..the car above isn't the car I bought it's just the same year and model, my car is a different colour, I just didn't want to post the exact car on here... .. but no I find automatics much less responsive than manuals...,, and remember tho' my injuries are almost all entirely on my right side.. arm, hand, ribs..etc... and the gearstick is on my left... :sneaky::D

this is so true... where printers and ink are concerned the cost of the ink has made the actual rinters almost disposable

Car was delivered.. can't speak more highly of the Salesman.. young guy couldn't do enough to help....

I took this photo just after he dropped the car off.. dealership paper is still on the floor in case you were wondering

Shame I can't just get in and take it for a drive...

It's the same make and model as the red car above...but a different colour, not saying what colour, don't want to identify myself completely....

Just bought... 2 new pillows from Amazon... ... plus a hand grip exerciser....

I have various hand exerciser, like silicone balls, etc... but the Arthritis specialist specifically recommends this gun style.. to strengthen the knuckles of Osteoarthritis...

I can use it on my left hand, while waiting for the right to repair itself... then it will help strengthen the broken hand as well...

Also bought not from Amazon... some more motion sensor lights for indoors.... some wheeled castors to fit to my bedside cabinets so they're easier to move to get behind to clean.... a Bird bath pool cleaner.. copper disc... and some elasticated food bowl covers...

Compliments to you on your new car Holly, we have perused a low mileage Chinese built MG but not knowing anything about Chinese cars and their longevity, it's a case of dithering. On the face of it the car is good value, but I have to question why did someone want to part with a one year old car with just ten thousand miles on the clock?

Sky Blue Fedora 001.JPG
The fellow who makes my shoes sent me a text that he had come across a light blue leather that he described as baby blue. It's perfect for the two tone shoes that I like. The shoes aren't made as yet, he's a popular cordwainer and has quite a backlog of orders to get through.
The discovery of a matching hat, currently being fitted with a new hatband, a hat that compliments the blue leather of those shoes, has now put some urgency on getting the shoes made.
What I should do, of course, is to take a deep breath, remind myself that I am 80 next birthday and stop acting like I did when I was 20. The shoes will arrive when they have been made, and not before.
Will I ever grow up? Don't think that I want to.

I did and was going to reply, but I also sent the car's details, that's the car in Salisbury that we have perused a few times, off to the fellow who services and maintains our vintage MG and our modern day VW Golf. He's yet to reply which is why I didn't get back to you. Sorry Holly, I wasn't being ignorant.
