What have you bought recently?

Boots through Amazon. I’m not having luck. Maybe the third pair will be a charm.

Today I did buy a pair of Hunter’s low rise boots. They won’t be warm enough for winter and not sure I’ll get enough wear out of them to justify the cost, even on sale.
 

This is a twist---I arranged today for a raffle of the silk and angora berets I make, plus some other little scarves, fingerless mitts and so on to benefit our small emergency fund here where I live. This will take place at the Thanksgiving dinner held here every year. I hope it goes well.

My purchase wasn’t nearly as glamorous:

Yep, that is dewormer for the horse🙄🙄. Thankfully, because my horse and his companion are considered a closed herd and they are only two on 19 acres, I only deworm twice a year. Deworming today is it until next spring, which makes my horse very happy - they all say worm medicine is not very tasty 🤢🐴🐴🤢

I had to track this post down, more than 1 year later, to follow up and say I think this product is great! I use it when I don't have time to do my usual full makeup. In my opinion, it provides a nice, light level of coverage with a little bit of glow/luminosity. It also works well as a primer/base for foundation. I love it.
 
@StarSong Heads up! The 🦅:poop: during the night. Just in time for your holiday baking stuff.

I bought some cash, and when we were in Aldi bought two $10 gift cards for the cashier to give to the next two customers who use SNAP benefits. It isn't much, but maybe enough that they can get that one thing that they'd decided they would do without or something for their kids. Or whatever.

Other than the cash and the gift cards, I didn't buy anything. Trying to put aside more $$ for Christmas.

That was so kind of you, @Georgiagranny, and such a great idea. 🥰

I'm getting ready to buy a few items for the Marquette (MI) Mining Journal's annual Cheer Club. In a different thread I reported how, back when we lived up there, the Angel Tree gift requests were heartbreaking, including basic items like socks and underwear. Ever since, when I've been able to, I've shipped my donations up there.

Good to know, GG. I've already plunked down roughly $500 in baking supplies over the past ten days-ish, so I'll be happy to see the eagle's gift hit my checking account balance tomorrow.
