What have you done to break the boredom during this spell?

I have taken up feeding birds on my back porch. I have even found a forum here for "birders" and that helps a lot. I had to buy a couple of feeders, found one, and bought another! I have more feathered pets and every morning they come by to eat breakfast. Some fight over it and some even see if they are too big for small feeders. Cats stop by cause there is a mouse nearby. I am thankful for those cats, they catch the mice! I love finding new hobbies and now that the weather is bringing snow, things change as far as the water goes. There will still be water.

I have taken a break from writing, sculpting and painting to experiment with baking from scratch, San Francisco authentic style sourdough bread.
It's a 24 hour process, with proofing and baking. A friend gave me some amazing old starter and it's so exciting!
This is gonna be GREAT! i will fill my freezer!
Also, I'm reading and REALLY ENJOYING fine literature! Books! Books! Books! Loving them!

I'm such a bad person to ask, as I immerse myself in gardening, a passion that I truly lose myself in, and being the true-blue homebody that I am, I've been good with the whole Covid-19 thing.

I love to cook, bake, keep a nice home, and once the fall and winter season arrives, I enjoy reading and relaxing, some days doing absolutely nothing.

I was bored before the pandemic. At it's start, I didn't even notice the difference for the first few weeks.
Me too. I thought that I might adjust to the Lockdown & get maybe a tiny bit used to it, but it seems to be harder the longer this goes on. I'm lucky to not be 1 of the poor people who've lost their jobs, but this has been hard in both expected & unexpected ways.

I'm really not bored. I am still working full time, albeit from home. I do projects around the house, one of which was my very long retaining wall, which I had let go the last few years. Looks great now. Pulled all the weeds and grass, planted some nice bushes to draw the hummingbirds and butterflies.

I have started doing physical therapy for my shoulder which had been really hurting. 40 years of sitting at a computer. Physical therapy takes about an hour a day.

Also, I have started coloring in my adult coloring books. All kinds of things to do.

I walk the dog several times a day, I do a LOT of scratch cooking, I've finished my Christmas shopping and wrapped everything (yes, you've read that right...all 31 gifts wrapped, decorated, tagged and ready to be shipped in early December), clean the house every day, keep in touch with family and friends via text, email and zoom and, when the mood strikes, take a nice afternoon nap.

I really haven't been bored at all, not too much difference in my everyday life except for wearing a mask around people, social distancing and shopping only when necessary. I still do long daily walks with my dog in the parks and occupy myself with endless chores, house and yard work. Hoping the pandemic slowly goes away and life for all can get back to what we're all used to. 🤞

I'm not bored, when the pandempic first started in March,I continued my daily routine of taking my early morning walks. It was strange in the beginning not to hear any sirens, airplanes flying over head, not seeing traffic or people outside. All I saw were squirrels, occassionally rabbits, heard a few birds.I felt I was walking in a ghost town, the only businesses open were the convient stores, local co-op
I'm still taking my walks, reading more books, almost every week I go on 'road trips' with friend,Mary,Fridays with another friend,Thora grocery shopping. Mon is my 1 structured day of the week,I call members of org which I'm a volunteer/member to see how they are doing

I am never bored. I spend a lot of time on household chores and these days they take twice as long due to mobility issues. I watch videos, especially ones for home decor for studio apartments or cooking ones. I love to try new recipes or make my own. I write a blog and do a lot of research on that since I changed my focus from homesteading to being a woman over 60 (I have to write what I know). I love working on Ancestry and can spend hours on my family tree. I listen to music every day, especially when I am cleaning. I read, I color in adult coloring books (which is something new I just started doing), do those word search books, write in my own journal and write a little bit of poetry (for myself not publishing it or anything).

, I also love to bake, however, I will have to bake for others since cakes is off my diet. I went off my diet and gained 10 pounds! So, I will continue baking and sharing my cakes once my senior center has opened back up.

I recently started back reading and have wondered why I ever stopped.

Another thing: I used to do trancendental deep meditation ( for 19 years) I stopped because I was "too busy". I've started doing this again and it's wonderful! It charms me into pure consciousness and brings that out into the field of activity.
It feels like "AWE"; like experiencing a little bit of Heaven.

For those that have started reading again, Yes, me too! I don't know why I stopped. Maybe too busy with everyday things. But I found myself organizing my many bookshelves. I have shelves on:
Star Trek books
Agatha Christie books
Classics
Reference books
Childhood books I loved
Little House books
Fantasy/Sci Fi books - Harry Potter, Ranger's Apprentice, etc.

I have never been bored. I can occupy myself for hours on end with a lot of the hobbies mentioned here.
If there ever is a lull I rip the house apart, Rearrange furniture and paint walls.
My hubby says I have painted the bathroom walls so many times the room is getting smaller.
