Yep I agree with you all..go back in time, and spend time with my mother, and also back to when I could work without pain!!
However..despite maybe opting to take a time travel trip to Victorian England or back to the middle ages..or when Jesus was alive...and without being too maudlin'... my mother was raised in a hell orphanage by evil nuns.. she only ever spoke of their cruelty on a couple of occasions, but due to their vile nature, she was raised not knowing how to give or receive love, or be a mother really.. so I would love to go back to when she was little and grab her out of there and put her with a loving family, so she could have been raised knowing how to be a loving person, and not settle for an abusive husband and father to her children , and she may not have taken her own life at just 39 years old!!
I have heard several stories about evil nuns & priests in orphanages over the years. Today I hope the fear of exposure has toned it way down, if not ended it?
Back in your mothers day, nuns priests , teachers, etc. Were the absolute authorities , and kids dare not question them & or complain.[/QUOTE]
It's very true RGP ...they were evil, and only now is it coming to light just how evil those nuns were. In fact just today there's yet another story in the media of the cruelty of nuns in an orphanage, many years ago but much later than my mums' time, so it went on for decades undetected.. ..
However I mustn't derail this topic...
I would like to go back and live on a real life, version of "Little House on the Prairie", back in the day.
I would be ok with that as long as I could hop in the time machine and come back for a quick shower and a bucket of ice every day!
