What is your favorite day to have a few drinks of the spirits and what do you like?

I hardly ever drink and couldn't tell you when I had an alcoholic beverage last. I used to have a beer on my birthday and some wine at Christmas, but like most things lately, I just don't do anymore.

Maybe once a week I will have a little Crown and coke. Although its been a few weeks since I had one. When I visit my sister in La. she will have her Jack and coke and I will have a Crown and coke with her.

At our local restaurant, the drinks are half price certain days of the week. That applies to all beverages, alcoholic or not. The problem is, they keep changing the day.

Trying to keep ahead of them, I would say my favorite day is whatever day that week is the half price day! (I'm always outraged by the amount restaurants charge for drinks.)

I enjoy a beer almost every day, just one and usually while I'm cooking dinner. My dad was a functioning alcoholic and I have no desire to take that route. But I do enjoy a beer or an occasional margarita or glass of wine.

No particular day, I can go months without drinking, I don’t like wine but if I’m out I’ll have a couple of vodka and tonics

No one day in particular but my go to drink is rum. I mix with with coke zero or as of lately sprite zero with cranberry and a splash of cranberry juice. Sometimes Michelob Ultra..I like the original Michelob but just can't find it anymore. :very_drunk:

If I am going to drink hard liquor it is Old Grandad either with coke or neat. A few Labatts during the summer and impossible to avoid wine with out of town guests insisting on the wine trails.

We appreciate advance notice if you're visiting so I can run out and get beer. We don't keep it as a matter of course.

How did I miss this thread? I am actually not much of a drinker. That being said, I will, on occasion, put a splash of vodka in a glass of lemonade just to make a toddy. My husband laughs when he sees me do it, as it is often barely a full shot.

Whilst i have no special day, black coffee with cognac ,or if beer is my mood, Guinness. I will, during hot weather, substitute coffee and cognac with diet coke mixed with dark rum(Meyers).

Managed to get into my eighties without the need for drugs, alcohol included. Have no idea whether I'd have been a mild drinker or gone over the edge. Most of my friends have seem to imbibe with little harm done, but I've also known of some tragedies and heartbreak due to it's use. Guess it's a little late to start now!! :)
