What is your favorite type of movie?

I'm seriously considering adding a movie section to my website, I Just Retired.
These will be old public domain black and whites from the 30's, 40's and 50's.
There are several genre's I can choose from like, but not restricted to Comedy, Action, Adventure, Drama, Romance and Sci-Fi.
What genre's would you be interested in?

I'm hooked on disaster movies. I also like SciFi and SciFi-fantasy, some action films (according to the cast) and Rom Coms. Every now and then, I need me some Godzilla too.
I love great sci-fi also. That’s my second favorite next to drama. Disasters are good also. One of my favorites that combines drama with disaster is ‘seeking a friend for the end of the world.’

This is the first time I heard of that movie. Just looked it up. I probably wouldn't have been interested if I saw the promo because it stars Steve Carrell. But it seems this movie encompasses the genres I like best. Maybe I'll check it out if I can find it on any of my streaming platforms.

Once again we seem to think alike, re. Steve Carrell! My dislikes also include Will Ferrell and Steve Martin! Never saw where they were funny!

It was Westerns when they were good, but now I like Comedy and Police Drama, preferably non-fiction. No Columbo type crap.

I like historical dramas. Anybody else? Movies about about real people like kings and emperors and generals, wars and challenges. But something that really happened.

Aw, but I loved Columbo! And I just got finished bingeing 21 seasons of NCIS! Not realistic but fun. I can see that with your background you would prefer non-fiction, though!

This is getting scary! LOL I trust your taste so much by now that I just got finished looking up Will Trent, a show I had never heard of until you mentioned it in another place! (y):)
Thank you for the nice compliment OS!! It seems we really are on the same page about shows! I think you'll love Will Trent. I was wondering if you ever saw these SciFi and/or SF Fantasy movies and what you thought of them. For the ones you haven't, they are my favorites and I highly recommend them:
~Mr. Peabody & The Mermaid (an oldie...my favorite since childhood)
~The Fifth Element
~Independence Day (I can't imagine you didn't see this one)
~Avatar (I didn't even want to see it at first and wound up going to see it in the theater twice, then bought the DVD)
~Starman

Things are getting stranger and stranger. Yes, with the exception of Mr. Peabody & The Mermaid (I never heard of it) I loved each and every one of the movies mentioned. The Fifth Element, Independence Day, both of them watched at least five times! Easy to do when you're forgetful! :) Avatar, twice! (About to be watched a third time!) Starman, twice!

BTW, I found Will Trent on CTV (a Canadian Channel), only drawback: it's with commercials, but I will give it a go anyway despite my extremed dislike of constant interruptions to a story!
