have an aunt who did a bunch of ancestry research... way before internet. we're English, Scottish & Irish. seems we're some how related to the Lockheed's (as in Lockheed-Martin). but as Forrest Gump said about his million $ wound... we haven't seen a penny of that money!

The first of my line came to Plymouth Mass from the south of England in 1634 on the ship Hercules. Because they were not puritans, they were not welcome. They ended up in North Carolina.

Nationality? Australian, although growing up I thought I was British.
Ancestry? Anglo-saxon and celtic. Some of my ancestors came to OZ as convicts, most came as free settlers. The last migrant came in 1872.

I don't place any value on any of the above since all could be classified as accidents of birth. I'm a human being who happened to be born in Australia. You could say that I won the lottery the day I was born.

American. Over 50% Scots DNA but it's been hundreds of years since they came over. Some came directly from Scotland and some via what's now Northern Ireland. The latest arrival to the party came over circa 1801. Everyone else was pre revolution. Some came freely, some were transported.
