What one thing do you miss doing in the summer that you did at a younger age?

It is sailing for me. July was the perfect sailing month in my small boat. The weather had calmed into summer conditions from spring with generally sunny skies, calm seas and a steady breeze. I could sail the boat by myself or with a few family members or friends...

What did you do and can still do, or are still still young enough? My activites slowed down and then stopped in my sixties...

Can't really think of anything I miss, I raised 5 children on my own for 13 years... from when the eldest was 11 and youngest 1 ........ (I really didn't have a lot of time to myself when young)
I have made the most of life after the children all grew up and left home , by having the freedom to travel to see /explore places I only dreamed of . As many know I ( we) dance ballroom dancing which was a dream when I young and never had the opportunity to learn/ attend..however we have slowed down a little considering we are 70 next year and the knees, are not as good as they used to be...

Same as Holly. Nothing I can't do now that I did when I was younger.

Long bike rides, kayaking, swimming, hiking and all my gym workouts and muscle-building. Of course I miss my 20/20 vision, perfect hearing, and my memory is shot to hell. :D

I miss swimming. I taught swimming not long ago, now I get out of breath as soon as I hit the water. It feels like I am suffocating. I also miss yard sales. I loved going out with a friend on Saturday morning early looking for that special deal. I still go to some, but not like I used to.

Fortunately I'm not that bad yet...please God I never do get to that, but yes short term memory is shot to pieces. I do find myself having to write a lot of things down now where I would have remembered them without any problems.

I miss being able to burn the candle at both ends, like the energizer Bunny. Especially if I have a bug, I am no longer able to push through it and do chores regardless. I can't live on five hrs sleep indefinitely any longer either.

Ditto with short term memory. I always makes notes, lists, put things on my google calendar etc.

I used to be able to do all that as well - stay up late partying then get up early for work.

"Those were the days my friend we thought they would never end..." Let's alll sing it together!

Nothing. About the only thing I did as a kid I don't do now is play baseball with my buddies. But I don't miss that. I play golf instead.

I miss climbing trees. I could probably still climb some trees but there's a fear factor. I don't want to risk breaking a bone.

No more moving furniture around when I decide I'm bored with the arrangement and need a change - or cleaning the whole darn house when I get inspired. These days, its one thing and one day at a time. The housework will still be there tomorrow.

From a very early age I attended a summer camp every summer. I enjoyed everything about it, but above all I enjoyed the sense of being in the wilderness. Somehow the sense of being in a place where the natural surroundings were everything and civilization was nothing made a very deep impression on me.

Roller-skating up and down the block..
