What ordinary thing gives you the Ick...?

I have to agree about the PB... the smell is enough to make me retch... I have no idea how millions of Americans voluntarily eat that...it lok and smells like Vomit...:sick:
Geez, I didn't see this. It smells and tastes like peanut butter (iow, peanuts). I've seen a lot of vomit in my time, and guess what, none of it looks like peanut butter. These facts make your opinion suspect!

Some companies add sugar to their peanut butter. When I was a teenager, stores had peanut butter machines in the produce department. You'd pour in shelled peanuts, and you'd get back peanut butter. It is not necessary to add ingredients. Thus peanut butter MUST look, taste, and smell like PEANUTS.

@WheatenLover, that reminds me of Eggs in Purgatory (I love that name), an Italian version of shakshuka. I made it a few months ago.

I've never tried to make Huevos Rancheros, but they look good. They're on my list.

P.S. I was just going to say, one of the reasons I've never made them is because all the recipes call for corn tortillas, which I don't care for, but I see your photo appears to have flour tortillas. I'll have to do some searching.
It doesn't matter what kind of tortillas you use. I much prefer flour tortillas. Although enough spicy tomato sauce helps make corn tortillas more palatable.

well I'm sure everyone doesn't like that smell..lol... but I thought @MountainRa meant some kind of drug....
I thought every one would hate the smell of a skunk too, but I have a cousin that thinks it is a wonderful smell. I’ve since read that there are people who like the smell and that it maybe genetic the way some people think cilantro tastes like soap.

I didn't want to admit it but I have always kind of liked the skunk smell.

Years ago we had out of town friends spending a few days at our home, late at night one of our dogs got sprayed by a skunk. Even though I was outside washing the dog the smell seeped into the house and our friends were so revolted they packed up and went to a hotel!

..something/s that wouldn't trigger most people..but for some reason makes you feel queasy....or disgusted

Not the taste of food..or the sight of your partner..lol... but some every day thing that really gives you the Ick

Mine is Vloggers ( youtube creators) who drink and or eat while talking or presenting on their Youtbe channels.... it makes me turn the video off immediately , I cannot stand it

The worst one was the other day... a very serious channel which covers legal issues.. the guy was sitting there munching into an apple right into the mic... *urgh*
Rap music.

Talking about odd combinations of food, when I lived in a squat in Canterbury (many years ago) a couple of my squat mates used to like making cheese and strawberry jam sandwiches. I point blank refused to even try one, as it struck me as extremely odd that they would mix sweet and savoury like that, but they seemed to enjoy the mixture of flavours.

Fruit and cheese is a nice combination so why not?

Once when walking by a group of revelers I thought I smelled skunk. No, that's weed. I was told.

I slather cranberry sauce over my cold turkey and watercress sandwich.

My ofactory hypocrisy knows no bounds! I also like the smell of cow and horse manure. I'm going to keep you confused Holly😝🤪

I like a brand of peanut butter called Teddy. It may be just a regional product. The list of ingredients says "Peanuts". It does require stirring when first opened, but that's the case with any 100% peanut butter.

I do eat Marmite fairly often - I think it's an acquired taste. I tried Vegamite once when visiting Australia. Tastes like "jellied car exhaust".
