Suffering long term pain before death...

oooh no, actually the first thing that scares me to death is the thought that my child will suffer any kind of long term illness...and also that since coming out of a long term relationship more than a year ago that she won't find someone to be her ideal partner in life before I leave this planet... I just want to see her happy and contented.

After what I've already lived through, not much scares me any more. I've flipped a car off a cliff with two other people inside it...nobody got a scratch. But there wasn't a window left in it, all four tires were blown out, and roof was caved in.

I went through three storms on a shrimp boat with twenty foot swells. The railing only comes up to the knees, and the boat is rocking so hard water comes over the railing. And we had to shovel a thousand pounds of fish back overboard, while fifteen foot sharks ate it faster than we could shovel it.

We had a sea serpent crawl out of a pile on the deck once, that stretched all the way across the boat, and still had tail left over. It's head was the size of a football. And the captain told me that if it bit me I would take another two steps.

I've had a gun put to my head, and a Knife put to my throat, as a cab driver in San Diego.

I worked on a helitack helicopter fighting wild land fires. One time the only place they could drop us off, was on a huge boulder sticking out from the side of a mountain. The blades of the copter were coming within inches of the side of the mountain as we jumped off. The copter kept bouncing on the boulder, and we had to keep the skids from smashing our feet, and then jump off the boulder with our gear, before the copter could take off. A very big Adrenalin rush!

That's just a few of my adventures....I have so many, I wrote a book about it....but it wouldn't be allowed here.

Power and control bought with big $$$ by dishonest scumbags. And robbing the poor to pay the rich.

That's one thing that's appealing about Trump....he's already rich and doesn't need it. Other administrations have entered the White House poor and leave rich

The trouble with Trump is he will never have enough. Everything he does is for more for himself. Tax cuts for the rich, tax cuts for corporations, cutting healthcare, cutting social security, cutting aid to the poor, cutting FEMA funding, cutting pollution controls.

Scary= A liberal in control of something important to us.
Landing up north at night in SE Asia on insert or extract team with no ID or anything American as we were in no man's land and were on our own hearing voices and could not understand them, many more, probably the worst was a plain old farmer with a rifle and a lucky round.

I hope you will not scoff of sneer when I relate my worst fear. But you asked and I must give an honest answer.

According to Pentagon officials, a single warhead designed to deliver an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) by North Korea or Iran could blackout the national electric grid and other life-sustaining critical infrastructures — killing 9 out of 10 Americans within a year. With no power, no gas (pumps wouldn’t work), no food (no refrigerators or stoves, or super markets), no water (not even for toilets), armed gangs roaming the streets, stealing what they can to survive. Older folks like me would suffer the most. The horrors would be too much to describe.

But as I read the Bible, the chances are 100% (from my perspective) that I will not be here if that happens. I will be either gone from old age or the rapture will come before then. (I know some of you don’t believe the Bible, and that’s o.k. – but for me, I have faith in its promises)

I have many of the same fears that have been mentioned. Stroke, pain, loss of a child. One that I've had since a child is the fear of the dark.I can't put my finger on just when it started. I do remember my Mom sending me down in our basement every so often to get Vel. She used it to wash the dishes. For some reason she kept a supply of it downstairs and a small amount upstairs. I was alright going down in the dark. I can't remember why there was no light but I do remember running like crazy two or three steps at a time going back up.To this day I can't sleep unless my eyes are covered with something. Just part of the sheet or blanket will do. I hated walking the dog at night even with a flashlight in my own backyard. So happy when we fenced in the yard.
