What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Just watched this on Netflix last night and it was excellent. Fun to see Truman Hanks playing a younger version of his father's character.
Good movie.
Terrible movie switched it off after 30mins, character (not his fault) is pain in the rear end, but as they say "Can`t please all of the people all of the time"

The curse of Rosalie
Hoping to escape their past, Daniel and Theresa Snyder move their troubled young daughter Rosalie to a quaint Midwestern town, but they are followed by the evil they tried to leave behind.
When locals begin to die, the Snyders turn to a Native American seer and uncover a legend that may hold the key to saving their family, or a path to a grisly end for them and all they hold dear.
My vote? 4/10

It's rated 3.7 on IMDB. :ROFLMAO:

Really, I never saw that. I just thought it never reached my expectations. 🙂
I always check the IMDB ratings before watching a movie. I agree with the ratings most of the time... more than half of the time, anyway. There are some movies that are rated 7 or above that I don't like at all and some movies that are rated in the high 5s that are watchable. Still, it's a good starting point. I combine that with watching the movie trailer and reading the premise, and checking out the actors. That's usually a good system.

I do all that and then go on to read viewers' reviews! Not the critics, I have no faith in them! Sometimes I get stuck for an hour reading what the common people have to say! :)

To continue with my air disasters theme, I watched Sully this evening, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks.

This was a great movie. Let's see what it's rated in IMDB... 7.4. I'd give it an 8. I really enjoyed it, and I've seen it before but probably not with subtitles, which I always turn on any more.

I agree with you about the movie. It was great! I also appreciate that you mentioned subtitles! I have them on all the time! Time has not been kind to my ears!

My hearing has been bad for a long time, but it's only been the past few years that I started turning on subtitles. So for a lot of the movies I watch now with subtitles, it's almost like watching them for the first time since I didn't understand a lot of the dialogue when I previously watched it without subtitles. That was the case with Sully. I only remembered little bits and pieces.

I am reduced to watching mainly streaming sites since their subtitles are just the right size for my eyes. With my regular cable they are too intrusive, they are big even though I pick the smallest size. So I watch the news and soccer only!

I get all my movies from the local library on dvd. I never read up on them beforehand, just pot luck.
There are a few that I start watching but give up half way through.

Good movie.
I was about to post this, then saw you beat me to it. I liked the movie, though I thought they drug the attempted suicide scenes out too long.

I agree, Truman did a good job. I've always liked Tom Hanks, looks like we have a replacement on the way.
