Sean Connery in my opinion was the best 007 and Hunt for Red October was art .Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was on television last night. It's perhaps best known for its pairing of Harrison Ford as the title character and Sean Connery as Indy's father, Henry Jones, Sr. The hard-nosed professor was a fitting match for the foolhardy archaeologist.
Highly enjoyable given that I have never actually seen the entire film before. Lots of snippets but that was about it.
Hmm. Different take.Henry Jones, Sr. The hard-nosed professor was a fitting match for the foolhardy archaeologist.
IMO the first ones from the '70s were the best. Can't watch it today. But, But, I still remember the first SNLs like it was yesterday! @HermitHogan
Too soon, IMO
Have the decency to wait till we're dead
Looks good. I just put a hold on the DVD from my public library. Should have it soon.I found truly underrated saw it some cable channel couple days ago , a Senior type movie so loved it .
I hope you enjoy it as a touching , different type movie with great actors .Looks good. I just put a hold on the DVD from my public library. Should have it soon.
Thanks for the tip!
Labeled by some as the worst film ever made, it has solidly grown in campiness since 1957. Director/producer Ed Wood was a kooky guy-- the type who could have only existed in Hollywood.
Actually, it's fairly highly rated. 7.5 on IMDB. Good movie!A vastly underrated movie.
Did you see The Last Voyage of the Demeter ?The original Nosferatu (1922). Very creepy! I'm glad I had already read Dracula this past year; it helped me follow the plot more accurately. Definitely recommended.
I read much of Dracula while passenger in a car on a bright sunny day. It was the part where the Count says "children of the night." I was so freaked out, and couldn't believe the sun was shining and here I was, scared & terrified. Great, great work by Bram Stoker. It's not like I was reading, alone, in a dark room on a stormy night, but it felt that way.The original Nosferatu (1922). Very creepy! I'm glad I had already read Dracula this past year; it helped me follow the plot more accurately. Definitely recommended.
No, but I meant to mention, it's on my watch list!Did you see The Last Voyage of the Demeter ?
I hope they follow up with a second and end it there but most did not like it .
I don't recall that much about the picture, even though it was only 9 years ago. I remember thinking that it was very slow; and that it was a waste of Jeremy Renner. Amy Adams was fine, but the movie never quite jelled. The Arrival (sci/fi)

Rated 2.8 on IMDB.If it was that bad, why did you watch it? I started to watch a movie the other day called Black Rose that I saw listed on YouTube. The description said it was a "Powerful Action Movie" and was starring Adrian Paul.
I watched 5 minutes of it and hit the stop button. Jebidiah Atkinson would have hated it "Next!"
