What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

The five films of The Pirates of the Carribbean franchise. Currently watching Disney's Cars television series lol!

M3gan; 1 hr. 42 min.; watched it on Peacock; mainly what I've got to say is: "Where's Asimov's 3 Laws of Robotics when you need 'em?" o_O (I.e., violence warning!)

I watched that yesterday and enjoyed it also. (I like Maron but Huzz can't stand him so I watch him alone.) Have you seen his movie The Sword of Trust (2019; 1 hr., 28 min.)? It was pretty funny.
I’ll have to watch that, since I’ve hear him reference it several times. I hated his last standup special but will give the new one a chance. Most of the smaller parts I’ve seen him in have been well down. He was good in Glow also, though I didn’t watch the final season when they quit filming without a conclusion.

Die Hart with Kevin Hart and John Travolta. Not great, but almost passable since it was only 85 minutes. (Prime)

I just watched Primal Fear on Prime Video starring Edward Norton, Richard Gere, Lara Linley, and a bunch of other big name movie stars.

It was decent. It was another movie that I watched a long time ago but didn't remember much of it... except for the ending. It was also one of those movies that could have been really good with a few changes, like being consistent with the law.

In order today,
Sister Act
Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit
The Heat (with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy)
Once done, we're going to play "Heat Seekers" game in Wii Classic. Later y'all 😸

“Dog” The story is about a Special Ops soldier having to chaperone a dog to a funeral of a deceased Special Ops soldier 2500 miles away. It’s a long ride and a lot of adventures happen on the trip. The Gold Star family requested that the Officer’s dog be present at the funeral. After that, he is to deliver the dog to another Fort to be euthanized, but once there, he decides to keep the dog for himself. A few parts brings back a few memories, but I handled it well. Besides, it was the second time I watched it.

Sounds very much as the Canadian television series, Hudson and Rex... Nice one @Been There 👍

Watching - Duplicate - 2019, now.
Fetch blurb
A twisty, mind-bending Freudian-fuelled science fiction story about a man who shares his body with his twin brother, stabilized by an experimental deep-brain stimulation device.
Living a comfortable balanced life with each other, they manage to keep their condition a secret from everyone.
At least until one of them wants more and starts an undisclosed relationship with a woman.
Duplicate is an engaging physiological thriller starring Ansel Elgort, Patricia Clarkson, Matt Bomer and Suki Waterhouse.

Not holding my attention.

From Wikipedia:

"Living is a 2022 British drama film directed by Oliver Hermanus from a screenplay by Kazuo Ishiguro, adapted from the 1952 Japanese film Ikuru directed by Akira Kurosawa, which in turn was inspired by the 1886 Russian novella The Death of Ivan Ilyich by Leo Tolstoy."

Well, with that lineage, AND Bill Nighy, it must be good!

Avatar - The Way of Water. I actually went to a movie theater to watch it in the old fashioned way.
It was too long, the story line was predictable and repetitive but the computer generated imagery while super, became boring after three hours.
Not as good as the original, which set a very high bar. I agree that it was a bit long, but there were some heart felt moments that got me through the film. I went in with high expectations, and I should have known not to do that for a sequel.

The Old Way with Nicolas Cage. Standard Western fare, but unusually good for a long run of second rate Cage films. His 13 year old co-star carried a lot of the film. It was worth the rental.

LIVING is the story of an ordinary man, reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful, Bill Nighy is one of my favorite Actors!
It does indeed sound wonderful, kburra, but do you know if it's available on any service other than YouTube? (I've checked Xfinity, Amazon Pr. Vid., Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Peacock and none have it, and YT wants $19.99 to rent it.)
