Thank you for your very kind compliments Ladies. You look great Diva girl! A beautiful photo.
Wow! That's quite a glowing compliment HC !! Thank you so much79! Seriously? At seventy-nine, you do not merely age; you curate your presence with a graceful, defiant elegance. Your feignt facial lines act as a map of laughter, whilst your vibrant eyes and confident posture clearly show your beauty. Your joyous, fully lived life, eclipses the number 79 itself. You truly are the forum's fabulous Diva!
God willing Mark. Yep...I've got two eyes and can see out of both of them. There are a couple of threads in which I explained how I chose my screen name, but the search didn't pull up either one of them.I’m seeing two eyes both of them looking to checking off four score of years within the next turn.
You're beautiful, Warrigal, and so is your daughter. This would be my latest photo, taken on my 83rd birthday last month. The younger woman is my daughter who will be 63 later this year.
What a beautiful family you have Sunny! Here's most of my family about 3 years ago. I can tell because the baby is now 3.

Thank you! I cut it short about14 years ago and my sons had a fit, secretly I hated it too, was not me but I had to live with it.@IrishEyes I love your hair !
great shot, Naturally. Love this pic. Reading a 1953 hometown phone book.Whacked off all my hair last night. Summer and all coming on here in the deep South.
Relaxing this evening reading a hometown phone book from the year of my birth, 1953. I couldn't really get interested in it though. Too many characters to keep track of.

Wow! That's quite a glowing compliment HC !! Thank you so muchSpeaking of being a Diva...I wanted to share my multi genre music with you (which includes Latin Jazz) because I believe you and Mrs. HC would really enjoy it, but I see that your message capability is off.

Cool. I'm still ~5 1/2 months away from 73Hey we have the same birth year. I just turned 73 last month. You there yet?
You’re looking good Lara. Looking fairly buff there. I thought maybe we lost you. I haven’t seen you in ages.Just took this selfie.
Apparently I haven't yet mastered selfies without looking down at the camera
And I don't know why that partial frame appears because it's not in my house

Your guess is wrong Mark.Yeah when it comes to cracking corny I'm shameless. But I know your family is musical. I'm guessing your really were/are a singer.

Thanks for the interesting explanation of your vision saga, Diva! All these years I've been awe-struck by your ability to keep up with a computer forum with only one eye. I'm so glad I was wrong about that!Mark...coincidentally, after I replied to you, someone responded to the thread I couldn't find earlier. This explains how/why I chose OneEyedDiva.
During glaucoma surgery, one eye at a time, my doctor surprised me by correcting my nearsightedness and astigmatism so that I could see 20/20. The surgeries were approximately a year apart. After the first one my brain couldn't process the major differences in vision of each eye. I tried removing the right lens of my glasses...didn't work. Since I had to start putting so many drops in my eyes, contacts weren't an option. Finally I substituted brown construction paper for the right eyeglass lens. My frames were tortoise shell colored..
My husband and I went to the mall one day and I could tell people were looking at me strangely as they approached. If I was younger I would've been mortified, but I thought it was kind of funny because I imagined that from a distance it probably looked like I only had one eye, since the glasses frame and construction paper were similar to the color of my skin. Fancying myself a music diva, I chose the name OneEyedDiva.

Another reason to miss Gary O', as if we needed more.I'm enjoying having faces to attach to the names that have become so familiar here. This thread was a lovely idea.
