Speaking of being a Diva...I wanted to share my multi genre music with you (which includes Latin Jazz) because I believe you and Mrs. HC would really enjoy it, but I see that your message capability is off. God willing Mark. Yep...I've got two eyes and can see out of both of them. There are a couple of threads in which I explained how I chose my screen name, but the search didn't pull up either one of them.

In most of my photos the lenses of my specs have darkened.
My eyes are sensitive to ultra violet light, but here's me without specs.

Mark...coincidentally, after I replied to you, someone responded to the thread I couldn't find earlier. This explains how/why I chose OneEyedDiva.
During glaucoma surgery, one eye at a time, my doctor surprised me by correcting my nearsightedness and astigmatism so that I could see 20/20. The surgeries were approximately a year apart. After the first one my brain couldn't process the major differences in vision of each eye. I tried removing the right lens of my glasses...didn't work. Since I had to start putting so many drops in my eyes, contacts weren't an option. Finally I substituted brown construction paper for the right eyeglass lens. My frames were tortoise shell colored..
My husband and I went to the mall one day and I could tell people were looking at me strangely as they approached. If I was younger I would've been mortified, but I thought it was kind of funny because I imagined that from a distance it probably looked like I only had one eye, since the glasses frame and construction paper were similar to the color of my skin. Fancying myself a music diva, I chose the name OneEyedDiva.

Relaxing this evening reading a hometown phone book from the year of my birth, 1953. I couldn't really get interested in it though. Too many characters to keep track of.

I sang on stage in high school a couple of times as part of girl groups and I sang in a couple of choirs when I was a teenager, but a singer I'm not. In fact, I auditioned to sing in a professional Gospel group when I was in my 20s, but my voice was not strong enough.People consider me a musician...but I seldom use that term when referring to myself. I prefer to think of myself as a composer, arranger, producer who played several of the digital instruments used for the melodies and musical nuances on my multi genre albums. I record the music on my Yamaha Clavinova (digital piano).

BTW, I have the same eye problems and have had the glaucoma surgery also, but it never fixed my vision. Neither did the cataract surgery. (Par for the course when you reach my advanced years.) OTOH, I can see fine with my glasses on and am still driving, so it could be a lot worse.
Also, nice picture. I'm enjoying having faces to attach to the names that have become so familiar here. This thread was a lovely idea.
