What's for dinner ( or lunch )

Last night I had asparagus wrapped in prosciutto , with a small jacket potato and blue cheese...

Not sure what I'll have tonight...that;s if I'm not to tired to eat since I;ve been up since 4am... almost 12 hours ago now..

Today it was chilly and rainy so, wrapped up and went for a walk. On the way home is an independent bakery so, we popped in and bought a freshly baked crusty loaf. Got home, put the heating on, made coffee and poached some eggs which, together with the loaf, made the perfect comfort food for a grey wintry day. :) :coffee:

Lunch was a basic salad with added chicken trims, Caesar dressing, warmed up croissants and zero 7up with ice.

Planned dinner. Chinese Pork Spareribs with HM Fried Rice and doughnut cheese rings.

Tonight I had one of the 2 Wellingtons I bought for Xmas....

DW is away for a week. I made a quick, small (10 inch") pizza with what I had at hand. Basically Italian-style. First layer of topping was thin spread of olive oil, followed by tomato sauce mixed with pesto. Then a sprinkling of parmesan cheese, and after that, a little oregano, lots of fine-sliced onions, minced artichoke hearts, chopped black olives, crumbled feta cheese. The final ingredeint before baking, grated cheddar, the only other cheese I had on hand.

When it came out of the oven, I added some black pepper on top. There's half a foot of snow outside on the ground, so it was worth the effort. Especially because it was delicious.

I'm supposing that no-one has noticed that my Wellington isn't beef.. it's plant based.. A mushroom, spinach and port based filling wrapped in puff pastry

My fault because I didn't notice when I bought it... and I have to tell you it tasted horrible...

It looked like beef, sorta.
What a bummer.

We had dinner with another couple from our neighborhood tonight. We very rarely go out to dinner, but it had been months since we had really caught up. I occasionally see them walking their dog and stop my car to talk for a couple of minutes.

We ate at an Asian restaurant. I had Thai red curry with seafood. It was delicious and I have leftovers!

Lunch will probably be late afternoon as we got to put package at post office. Dinner last night were burgers and chips. Steaks tonight, in fridge defrosting ahah.

Although I don't have them often, I just finished a hot dog for lunch... and I had that because of a new mustard I picked up... Maple Champagne Mustard. Good stuff and that's surprising because I don't generally like mustard. Had a handful of Veggie Poppables with it.
