Whats For Dinner/Supper ?

Kraft dinner, peas and wieners
I used to make this a lot when my daughter was little... she loved it! I used ham instead of hot dogs and added a can of cream soup and then baked it. Always a hit. (y)
Edit: I just realized you may have meant you had it separately... mine was a casserole-type thing with all those ingredients in it. :giggle:

We are away on holidays till Sunday so I’m going to buy a hot rotisserie chicken at Woolworths supermarket
along with a salad for our evening meal , it’s only 8 AM here at the moment in ( Australia )

Last night we had homemade nice thick soup ( I use yellow slit peas / veggies / pre-made stock using chicken / ham bones for most of my soups )

topped it up homemade small spinach / cheese / bacon turnover made from my organic silver beet from my garden
( bought from home ready cooked ) Re heated them in a little oven shaped air fryer

I had to look up silver beet. It’s chard.
Those look really good. Is that pillsbury dough?
Yes silver beet is a form of chard however SB is green with I thick white stem and SB grows up up 2 ~foot
tall unlike some chards with reddish or yellow stems @PeppermintPatty

I buy this lower fat puff pastry Patty, which are about a 30cm square ( 1 foot x 1 foot ) I cut each sheet into 4 squares for the mini SB turnover's

I had to look up pillsbury dough id never heard of it ( I’m Australian ) it appears to be a sweet dough ?
It’s very sweet dough that comes in a cylinder type of container that you bash on the countertop to open it up. Most kids had this as kids - piggies in a blanket with cheese. It’s basically a kids treat.IMG_5534.jpeg

When my silver beet regrows I’ll take a photo of my plants , I’ve picked all the reasonable size leaves to make the turnovers.
Ive only got a typical Aussie small backyard but I make the most of what I’ve ( We have ) for growing fruit and veggies @PeppermintPatty tapping my feet at the moment waiting for it to warm up so I can plant my tomatoes In Sept .

( it’s winter here in Aussie land )

Ohhh. I forgot that you’re in Australia. I don’t know how I forgot. It’s winter there. Of course. I’d love to see some silver beets.
It’s the first time I’ve heard of them.

I’m going to make toasties under the griller using the leftover chicken from last nite , I usually toast one side of the bread under griller , then spread my home made tomato chutney on the un - toasted side, then add a mixture of chopped veg and chicken / I use spring onions / red capsicum / parsley a tiny bit of chopped bacon then top with cheese and put under griller till nice and brown
