What's happening with you now?

I am sitting on the patio watching it rain. Temperature gauge on the patio says it's 72. It's strange sitting outside here in Phoenix enjoying a nice storm while a lot of other places are baking in the heat. Strange summer.
you had to say this, din'tcha ?.. huh ? Huh?.. you had to rub it in didn'tcha... ?.. you're so cruel to us bakehouse sufferers.. :sneaky:😖😫

Daughter coming over today, to show us pics of their 1 week visit to the "farm". It is a modernized farm house, with chickens and a garden. The owner is a woman who is a horticulturist. Daughter's dog, Abbi, is very interested in the chickens - and they are interested in her. Photo from last year.

Considering the big smile on the dog's face, it's good there's a fence between her and the chickens!!

Hubby and I started deep cleaning yesterday. I stopped when my lower back started to ache.

It is miserably hot to go out. I might go look for new linens for guest bedroom. 🤔

News telling us that so many parts of the world are stifling.

Stay safe everyone. Going to clean the kitchen.
I can relate Pam. Whenever I get into deep cleaning my lower back acts up too. Then I have to stop. I hope yours gets better 😉

102 Deg F today in London.. according to the weather woman just now on TV.. and it will be the same tomorrow...

I have another load of washing in the machine..4 changes of clothes just for today and the bedding.....we have no AC
That is scorching hot hd! I'm sorry you don't have AC. I don't know how you can stand it. Whenever I lived with my dad he never had AC. It was awful.

What kind of things? You mean medications and therapies, i.e. too many appointments, or do you mean actual things, i.e. actual stuff?
Not medications (as of yet...knock on wood). But they are trying to make me accept 15 hours of a personal aide every week when I don't need one. If I could have one for a couple of simple chores like mopping my small kitchen and bathroom, cleaning the bathroom and putting the bottom sheet on my bed that is only what I need help with (for now). They said if I don't take the aide for 15 hours then they won't cover my doctor, dentist or foot doctor anymore. Making an appointment with my counselor at Office of the aging today to help me find what I need.

I know that non of you want to know about the hairs in my nostrils, but I'm going to tell you anyway.
They are like tree-trunks now, and my lovely neighbour challenged me by saying, "Don't be such a wimp, Tim, pluck the beggars out."
Well, I've had the tweezers on one pesky bristle and given it a gentle tug and my left eye bobbed up and down, so what I'm thinking, if I was to give it a sharp tug downwards, would my eye-ball be on the end of it?
Now where did I put those tiny scissors? 😊

Thank you for brightening my day!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I hear ya. Doing as much as you can for as long as you can is good for your health. I hope that counselor understands that.

Geez, what is this, the gestapo? I would hate having a stranger poking around in my sanctuary, especially if things haven't progressed to the need for it. This may be an insurance trend, though. I got a call yesterday (they left a message) telling me that my insurance is providing me with a nurse case manager. I didn't ask for one, and I am managing quite well on my own. I fear that this case manager is going to start trying to reinvent the wheel; I suffer from some complex illnesses and have had to chart my own course for years.

Let us know how that works out, please? I think my fear is loss of autonomy, most of all.

That is how it started with me. They sent a nurse to evaluate me and what I need. She was here a long time with us talking about our sons mostly. She saw I didn't need much help. Shoot if I was not cleaning my own apartment, then what else would I have to do? Sit around and do nothing? I think it is good for me to do these chores.

Just don't feel you HAVE to, or that you have to complete every chore. I break the chores up; like, wash the silverware and then sit for 10 minutes while the glasses soak. Sometimes I sweep and vacuum one day and mop the next. There's no rush.

Seems like all the items in the house that have filters wanted them replaced at the same time - coffeemaker, air purifiers, vacuum cleaner, water pitcher. Next I guess it will be those things with batteries wanting new ones. Never ends. So that’s done. Beware of those insurance nurse “case managers”. I am pestered almost daily with phone calls demanding I call back and enroll in that service. A friend who has the same insurance coverage accepted the service and she said they wanted to come weekly and told her she had to remove all the rugs in her house, rearrange the furniture, stop going out to eat so much, change her meds, confine her pet in a kennel, etc. She said she had to jump through all kinds of hoops to cancel the service and that they still call encouraging her to enroll again. Nope.
