What's the best or most useful Gadget you've ever bought...

The most useful gadget that I like is the multi use knife and tool kit that can be carry on belt in a carrier. Like the Swiss Army knife with some small tools that come in handy at times.

For a jiffy jar opener (maybe not quite as good a yours) I use a piece of that rubbery shelf liner. A piece in several rooms and one in the car and another in my purse. Even water bottles can be tough to open.
That’s a good tip. In one of my cleaning moods, I put the round plastic jar opener in the donation box. I’d never used & had the other device. Like you say, even water bottles can be tough.

This technically belongs to the o/h but it's such a useful tool for me too.. this long handled extendible magnet..

that's a good idea about the rubber shelf liner..I have a sheet of that under my microwave to stop it moving on the counter when I open the door.. and I also lined my desk drawers with it so things don't rattle around every time I open a drawer..

for opening stiff jars and bottle tops I just put on a pair of rubber washing up gloves...

Don't know about 'ever', but my sliding miter saw now is indispensable;

On the lower but still most essential end....my pencil;

I've done without it, using a nail for marking, but....the graphite brings clarity.....and less kindling

I've got those 5 bladed scissors too... one of those things ( and tbf I don't readily buy gadgets per se..)... but I did buy those, and I think I've used them just once ...

I had to have those scissors for cutting chives. They didn’t work as well as I thought. DH hated washing them. Maybe they’re still in the back of the drawer, maybe gone. They sure weren’t cheap.

I see that the ones in Horseless’s photo have a device to help clear the blades.

My iPhone. I had a flip phone since 2009. I decided to get a smart phone as a backup for my computer. I used to see people talking to their phone, asking it questions, etc. I thought that was kind of la dee dah. Well, welcome to technology!!! I love that phone, and all the stuff it can do. It was dumb of me not to have gotten one sooner.
BTW, the phone talks to you, and I know it's a machine. But whenever Siri answers me, and gives info, I still say "Thank you"??????
