We were in Bar Harbor in late September. It was wonderful, although still pretty crowded with tourists. Charming little town.Anywhere on Cape Cod, or Newport, RI. Maybe coastal Maine

It does go slow, very slow. but each capsule is like a small room. Lots of space to walk around and see the city from different views. How long has the London eye been operating?
Have you been for a sloooooow spin?
It looks like it goes really slooooowly...
I suppose people want to walk over the London Bridge lest it fall down?
Bar Harbor is nice, but much too commercialized and touristy for me. A little south, Camden is a much nicer town to get the New England feel. Kennebunkport, Boothbay Harbor are also nice. Just don't do Kennebunkport during the first two weeks of December. Christmas Prelude is the first two week, very crowded. We were in Bar Harbor in late September. It was wonderful, although still pretty crowded with tourists. Charming little town.
Mystic is nice for a day trip, or maybe an afternoon. We go at least once a year for an overnighter. Its about 2 hours from us. Also go to the Foxwoods shops to break up the trip.
I had a 55 years old friendship with a women who invited herself over so she could see Canada’s wonderland. When I said ‘no’ our friendship ended.I’m so glad I don’t live near Disneyland or Disney World. I wouldn’t enjoy having to take guests there over and over.
Niagara Falls IS spectacular. We took my grandmother there in the late 60’s. I’d forgotten about that until today. I’ve got photos of the event somewhere.Everybody wants to see Niagara Falls!

The London eye has been going since 1999...yes I've been on... I went on for my 60th birthday ... The pods are huge and each holds a lot of people, yes it goes very slowly..... and you get to see right over the city while on it..if it's clear. Unfortunately it wasn't all that clear when I went on.. and I felt completely underwhelmed..by it..I felt I could have got the same experience by going to the top of the shard.. at least there's a restaurant and bar thereHow long has the London eye been operating?
