Which is better? Creamy or Crunchy peanut butter?

I have to vote for crunchy. But in a pinch, I'll eat creamy right from the jar.

Hello, Glinda I like creamy the best sometimes I eat it out of the jar also, lol! I meant to mention I love Skippy creamy sometimes I like it with Agave Nectar.

They both taste good As an adult I now choose smooth over crunchy because those crunchy bits of peanuts always get stuck between my teeth and it's uncomfortable. I feel an urgent need to floss so I just eat the creamy.

I don't know where you got that idea from. We're regular purchasers of peanut butter and there's always plenty on the supermarket shelves. I generally prefer smooth but I'm more concerned about the salt levels than the texture. Crunchy is a good variant from time to time.

Every time peanut butter has come up in this forum, Brits wrote that they couldn't understand the American fascination with peanut butter, and they never ate it.

I used to like the extra crunchy as a kid. But my stomach no longer tolerates nuts, so it's smooth for me. I only buy the kind that I have to stir. If all that's available is unsalted, I just add my own salt as I stir it.

"Once Again" brand is really good but I only get it if it's on sale. A spoon out of the jar is a problem for me also. That pesky bread gets in the way of all the PB goodness. Though a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with coffee for breakfast is good.

I eat the natural creamy kind you have to stir. With banana's I eat a couple spoon fulls...the same with dark chocolate.

I so hate stirring the PB. It's the only kind I buy also but I buy the salted or add salt if it's not. I found a couple of large stainless knives at PAWS thrift with no serration, they are like little paddles. They work so well for stirring the PB.

I prefer Smucker’s natural creamy peanut butter.

Sadly, the local Wegman’s has discontinued it and the local PriceChopper offers it for $7.09/16 ounce jar.

I’m the same. I love crunchy peanut butter but don’t like how easily it sticks to my teeth so prefer smooth. I LOVE a fresh peanut butter and jam sandwich make on fresh homemade bread.

I love peanut butter, but don't even THINK of putting it in cakes or cookies. Blech.
