Who accepts aging better, Men or Women ?

Yes, at age 71, I still want to look as attractive as I can. I do use minimal makeup, but truthfully I think I don't look much different (attractive) with or without makeup. It's not that I don't look my age, whatever that means, but I'm happy with how I do look and I also get compliments from other people that someone can look attractive even when older. I'm not going to apologize for that.

And don't tell me that men in general don't feel the same about wanting to be attractive to others, too, no matter their age. They do!

I can sooooo relate. I tell people my age and they cannot believe it. I wear very little makeup. I wear it for me not for anyone else. I am aging gracefully!!!!! The Universe/God/Higher Power is good to me.

That is a very good question which I had to give a lot of though to. I think that women accept aging better but men are in denial which is not a bad thing. Men want to always feel "I GOT THIS" even when they don't. However, there are some women that feel the same way. I am approaching 60 and I don't feel 60 at all.. (not sure what 60 suppose to feel like). Yes, I have stiff, tensed muscles but I continue to do what I did at the age of 30.. I mean just about EVERYTHING. I refuse to say "I CAN'T" because I CAN!! STAY ACTIVE, LIVE-LAUGH-LOVE!!!!

Your husband has the right idea...Moving and staying active really is the key to longevity...Staying active with some kind of daily physical resistance, or physical activity, keeps the muscles and bones strong, and moving around keeps you from losing flexibility...Stay active, stay alive, stay sexy my friends.

So who ages better? According to statistics women live longer. Nature has given them a natural edge. It must have something to do with child bearing and survival of the species.

I think men want to stay young, and women just want to look young. I (F) don't care who knows my age. But I've known too many men who get depressed about getting older, no matter how good they look.
