Who Knew? Some Fun Facts

Most of our supermarkets, have "Self Scan", the names
are different, but the hand held scanners are all the same.

That sample, at the beginning, looks more elaborate and
I suspect that the tablet lets you search for locations of
items, we have to find a worker to tell us where things
are.

Tullia, daughter of Cicero, died in 44BC, at the age of 33 years,
when her grave was discovered and opened in 1485, it was found
to have a lamp still burning, 1,500 years after it was lit!

Her body was said to be as fresh as the day, she was entombed,
her skin was soft and her joints pliable, all because of the coating
of a gel moisturiser, 1 inch thick, smeared all over her body, her
hair is also said to be beautiful!

Ever Burning Lamps & Preserved Body Cicero’s Daughter

I put the link here, but if you ask Google, there are many, many
reports that might be more interesting to you.

So... Makes me wonder about the cliché most of us probably remember, concerning one of the wise-women's (aka, "witch's) brews containing "eye of newt" as one ingredient. The hunters were no doubt victims of a substantial dose of the tetrodotoxin, but the old recipe may have provided a micro dose of something like it. Maybe psychotropic. ???
