Who on earth is Taylor Swift?

Ooooh, that is soooo cool! And you wouldn't lose your vehicle in a parking lot. And everyone would be waving at ya... (or doing some kind of hand jesture anyhow.) 😲 Now, you weren't sayin' that anything's wrong with that spectacular set of wheels... right, @squatting dog ?! ☺️

Wow, that is so pretty, I would be proud to drive that! Of course, I've gotten so short I'd need a booster seat, but I love this! Oh, yeah, and a booster step to get into the driver's seat, already equipped with the booster.......

I'm so short that.....(finish this sentence)
But then.............................

I'm so short I've got Duck's disease - my ar*e is too close to the ground.

I honestly don't know. Am I unusual in that not only do I not know but I don't really want to know!
Gone are the days when I had interest and good knowledge of pop music of the day. Now I have not a clue. I admit I don't know anything to about Ed Sheeran either, except people seem to worship him.

Am I the only one and am I missing out on something?
HAHA. I need to show this post to my 10 year old granddaughter. She will hold her chest in jest.

Yes, you're missing out on something At least with Ed Sheeran you are. He's good for any age.

You're not the only one, Rose. I have seen pictures of her and she is extremely pretty, but I have no idea what sort of music she performs. I used to be very up to date with music but prefer to listen to the 'oldies' now.

It has been an interesting and enlightening thread, not that I will be listening to the young lady, but I do at least give her credit for acquiring fame through her talent. Unlike Pete Townsend of The Who, the 60's icon, who started the guitar smashing craze.

Back then other talented musicians like Jimi Hendrix were also known for destroying guitars and amps. Hendrix famously burned two guitars at three shows, most notably the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival.

Indeed, I still wouldn't go to a performance. She's obviously amazing but I am too old.

I remember when Jimi lit his Strat on fire and thought that was cool.
Peter smashing his guitar into his amp was also pretty cool.

Then I was at a concert in South Dakota full of 'Bikers' and this guy plays a
blues song with a Chainsaw.

Now that is just Super Cool...

My wife and I have been going out to social events all our lives, we don't even think about being too old, not that we go to youth related concerts. Our musical preference, as I have said before, is more big band than pop band, but we still get quite a generation mix at those functions. It's more my wife's health that's restricting our socialising, before her heart problem we were still jiving our socks off.

I'm not sure I could name a Taylor Swift song. I do know that she's hard-working, good-looking, super-rich, emits positive vibes, puts on a heck of a show by all accounts, dates Travis Kelce, is incredibly supportive of her fanbase, stays out of trouble, and is very charitable.

I am good with all those things. It's my fault that I'm stuck in the past listening to old Allman Brothers songs.
