Who Or What Wakes You Up In The Morning?

My cat is an alarm clock, schedule varies by a few minutes here or there but when he wants me up I have no choice.

Sometimes he syncs it with the sound of the neighbor's big truck next door starting up.

I always good or bad sleep, usually wake between 4 and 5 in the morning, somedays I get to sleep in, but not very often... No alarm clock needed, just wake up...

I've never required a lot of sleep, and typically I'm up anywhere between 4:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

4-5 hours of sleep a night is what I have been going on forever and a day.

It depends what season it is.On some winter mornings I'll hear the snowplow clearing our apt driveway anywhere between 5-7am
In spring and summer when I have the bedroom windows open,the birdies start chirping around 4:30

Ron and I both wake up naturally between 5-6 am. He usually gets up first and gets the coffee ready. I stay in bed a bit longer, I might even doze a little, but on some level I’m aware of the time passing and don’t typically stay in bed past 6.00 am.

We know what wakes most older men up. But a woman friend of mine told me women have the same problem. That surprised me because women don't have a prostate.

In the Summertime, the light streaming through the window shades usually wakes me up about 6AM. In the Winter, I usually sleep in till abut 7 or almost 8AM.

One of my little fur babies has a routine. 2:30 am, and again at 4:30 she's outside howling. That wake's me up and it's pointless to go back to sleep.

My dog walks across my bed early in the morning, licks my face, and then if I don't get up, he gets on the floor and starts whining near my head. That usually does it.

It's rare that I wake up for the first time when it's time to get up. I usually need at least one bio trip before the night's sleep is over. Other times I just wake up and then either go back to sleep or don't. Sometimes I wake up a little while before it's time to get up other times I wake up when it's time and in the least frequent occasions I wake up later than I usually get up.

I usually get up around 5 half the weekdays and 5:20 the other half. On weekends I can get up later but still am usually up before 7.

Go to sleep when sleepy, I get up when I wake up. Usually a solid 8 hours sleeping without the need to get up.

Around 4-4:30 am, doggie wakes me up. She goes out on her tether to pee.
Then she wakes me up around 8 am.

I have to share one story about my Cat of 14 years, "Spike" waking me up on morning.

I hear this odd noise, I raise my head, I know who the culprit is Spike ! what ever you are doing ..... quit. I drift off back to sleep, I hear it again ..... SPIKE ! damnit quit! ..... Try to get back to sleeping ......... I hear it again, well crap, I get up to see what he his doing. I step out of the bedroom to the hall, ...... and just start belly laughing.

Here he has been pushing his dish down the hall, to my bedroom , I guess to show me that it is empty ! & I am remiss in my duties......

I still miss that little fur-ball......

Doesn't matter what time I I go to bed or get up...I wake up every 4 hours for no particular reason. I know that means I'm not getting that all important REM sleep but I've lived this long so I'm not worried about it.
