The question was why do WE believe in Him. Who better to ask?It is odd you ask god why do we believe in hm. Seems that is a question you would ask yourself?

Up til now we have had priests, pastors, and proselytizers to tell us why we need to believe. But that takes thinking that God is a distinct being that can hear us, and created us. Then you could imagine him/her answering you. Like an imaginary friend. Having such a friend can be very helpful when we are upset. The question was why do WE believe in Him. Who better to ask?
Yep. Ray Stevens wrote/sang a song called "Get in touch with God, turn your Radio on."If "God" really existed, He would need billions of assistants to personally communicate with every human who ever lived! However, Christian MUSIC can be heard by everyone who owns an Amazon Echo Show. I prefer the music to the supernatural.
l had already answered that Love ls why l believe in God and l still do. One's answer is not the same for everyone. I don't expect that.Up til now we have had priests, pastors, and proselytizers to tell us why we need to believe. Asking ourselves why we believe is very hard to get a straight answer. I don't think we can tell ourselves the truth. It is to philosophical to get a simple answer, and the complicated ones are endless.![]()
What a contradictory statement. Isn't being judgemental an issue? Aren't you judging them when you say that about them and claiming to be superior to them in the process??I have no issue with people who believe in a God. In fact, they're far more judgemental than I.
Completely understand what you are saying. I suppose we need to go back. What we knew or believed before the priests, pastors and proselytizers entered the issue, has been lost, deluted and made to seem silly because we have overlooked their guidence.. You do not need them to tell you anythingUp til now we have had priests, pastors, and proselytizers to tell us why we need to believe. Why do we believe in god, question is directed to the collective we as individuals. Just messing with you, but why do you believe in god? I can tell you why I believe in god, because is proven to be real in my life and I do not want to go back to the way it was when I did not understand god in my life. The question was why do WE believe in Him. Who better to ask?
That is true for people of all religions even the most primitive ones. What they believe works for them. Why would that be different for people who have different beliefs? Why do we believe in god, question is directed to the collective we as individuals. Just messing with you, but why do you believe in god? I can tell you why I believe in god, because is proven to be real in my life and I do not want to go back to the way it was when I did not understand god in my life.
It's basically, you believe in God because you believe in God.That is true for people of all religions even the most primitive ones. What they believe works for them. Why would that be different for people who have different beliefs?
I guess that is so. Humans have many different ideas about their gods. There is not one true god but many imagined ones. Logos and universal laws are truth but this is not a human-like being we call god. Saying prayers and burning candles will not change the consequences of our actions. It's basically, you believe in God because you believe in God.
Thank you for calling God the God of love.I still have to say I prefer Mars, the God of WAR, rather than Christ the God of love.
God won't do that either.I guess that is so. Humans have many different ideas about their gods. There is not one true god but many imagined ones. Why?I still have to say I prefer Mars, the God of WAR, rather than Christ the God of love.
He's a morose individual, his threads are always morbid & death ridden and he plays video games. No joy in Mudville. Why?
True to a point, except that you never stop believing as opposed to Santa, for example, when you find out who was wearing the suit and that he didn't always eat the cookies and you didn't have a fireplace. It's basically, you believe in God because you believe in God.
you will endure until God brings you home. He will decide.Father Death is my God. I only listen to Jesus in the songs about him played on my Amazon Echos.
All suffering ends at death. Pain and Impairment disappear. I am 89 and can hardly wait to cease existence!
I notice that the British Parliament has legalized Medical Aid in Dying for the terminally ill.
Many have died, been resurrected, and told others about their death experience. Here is a google page with many accounts of that.No one but those who have died know the truth, and no one has returned to testify! I do believe, let's say, just to be on the safe side. What harm am I doing to myself by believing? When I die, and if I find out there is nothing, I have lost nothing, or if He exists after all, I will have then punched my ticket for the Pearly Gates! Had I not believed and died and there is a God....then I will be headed for the Fiery Furnace
. So I think most people believe.... just incase....

Thank you for making a good point and sharing your valuable thoughts. Forgive me if you will, but I have to add that it would bother me to think the only reason I believe is for insurance protection, "just in case."No one but those who have died know the truth, and no one has returned to testify! This was Blaise Pascal's famous wager. He was a brilliant philosopher, scientist, and mathematician, ahead of his time, who made many contributions to the advancement of mankind, but he is known mostly for the flawed "Pascal's Wager," which I heard was something he scribbled on a napkin after a dinner, probably with an ample amount of wine under his belt.Thank you for making a good point and sharing your valuable thoughts.
