Several friends decorate their fridge with magnets, not as bad as the picture, but why do people do this, each to their own,but why would you?
Personally have none!!....and you?
Why ? Cos I like them and they help to brighten up my small kitchen
I only have a few atm, a couple more would be nice - though not as many as shown in the photo.
Not a collection but reminders and one that is a picture of my bf in his doodlebug club. Looks messy but I need it and use these lists. The small dry board is a list of food I have in the refrigerator so I know what is there and use it. A list on the bottom door is a list of all the household chores I do and are divided into daily, monthly and seasonal.
I used to have about 12 or so on the fridge of places I'd visited, that was years ago.. now I just have 2.. one is from the Spanish village where I have a home, and the other is of my surname which is quite a famous literary character name.. both are used to hold up memo's..
I bought a larger white magnet board at a stationary store a number of years ago. I have it over the computer desk here. And it's covered with stuff and has magnets on it. Most from thrift stores.
One thrift store had a number of those flat travel magnets and I got just one, with a mama and baby buffalo. For some reason, I look at that magnet and wonder who bought it and where.
We have about a dozen fridge magnets and one magnet clip. Some of them are 2" x 4" photos of my grandkids with magnetic backs, and the rest are just round 1/4" magnets. Under the round ones are my foster-care license, a list of emergency contacts, and instructions for medical emergency responders.
Ours are to remind us of the memories of our travels. We enjoy them every day. They were all thoughtfully selected at the time as a keepsake.
We have several favorites such as the tango couple from Buenos Aires, the Nazca Lines from our flight in Peru. and about a hundred more.
We are more than thankful for the memories they represent.
Used to have some fridge magnets, but no more. Stainless steel doors do not hold magnets, but they do show every smudge and fingerprint as if that's their prime function. I'd rather have the magnets.
