@win231 Why we don't always trust....who? The government, media, for-profit companies, our significant other?
As it pertains to Covid, anyone involved in supplying the "statistics" - infection/hospitalization/mortality rate.
That would include the government & other politicians. News media only reports whatever information they're provided with.
As for "Significant Others," that depends on their trustworthiness in the past, as well.
By the way, I got quite a laugh when the news media was told to report that
"There are so many Covid deaths, there is no more room in hospital morgues, so they had to call in refrigerated meat trucks to store the stacks of bodies in hospital parking lots." Remember that one? One of my favorites.....when I need a good laugh.
I took elderly friends to two different hospitals during the past 2 years. Neither were crowded & there wasn't a single meat truck in sight.
My sister went to the ER for a UTI. Again, no crowds, no wait to be seen & no meat trucks.
I went to the ER a few months ago to be checked for Sepsis after a tooth infection. Again, no crowds, doctors were standing around chatting, empty hallways & rooms, & no meat trucks anywhere.
Exaggerating & lying are not the ways to get people to believe what you say.
