As every one knows, females are often more emotionally mature than males.
WHY ?
In my opinion, females, from an early age, spend much more time with their mothers than boys do with their fathers. Even if both parents work.
Think about all of the female to female interactions. Mom dresses the girls up and fusses with their hair etc. Moreover, Mom gets daughters to help with laundry, cooking, washing dishes and other routine household chores. While this is happening, they talk. Not trying to be insulting, but everyone know full well that females LOVE to talk. This allows mom time to teach her daughters about all facets of life. As the daughter matures, the subjects eventually turn to those of romance and what she might expect when dating, marrying.
Ok, but now about the boys. Yes, on some occasions, boys do spend a little time alone with their father's, playing ball, fishing etc. However, the father generally confines talk to the ACTIVITY, and NOT about life's issues/problems and very, vary rarely about romance, dating, marriage. Moreover, and this is quite important, males, as a general rule, are much more quiet than females. (this began, I suspect, back in the eons when males hunted and silence was critical to success in hunting. Females, on the other hand, chatted away while gathering roots, tubers, fruits, berries etc. Those who know much about wild animals, understand that wild animals will move AWAY from human noise. Bears, for instance with move away if given a chance. The very last thing females wanted back eons ago, was to run into a bear.Even today, when hiking, fishing in bear country, it is always a good idea to wear small bells on the pants legs)
Thus, the stage is set. Young females are not only taught by their mother's but they overhear adult female conversations and learn form that.
Generally speaking, boys do NOT have such an opportunity to learn much of anything from male adults until much, much later in life
